yes he could afford to settle for 2nd cos but hard to deny he enjoyed a huge amount of fortune. not a single retirement due to engine failure. how often does that happen ? almost unprecendented i would suggest

I think he was faster, and a better driver than Hamilton a couple of years ago and should have won then but he was a little nervous.
I am well shocked. Best to go out a winner i spose and he won't have to hear anymore whimpering from the stitched syrup tart now...

think hamilton retired 3 times and there was one race where they ran each other off the track. probably around a 70 point swing
May get lapped a few times what with him taking 30 second breaks every 3 mins..
think he realised the team would probably go out of its way to give Hamilton all the help next season & pulled the plug
If I was him I might do the same? He's proved himself, he's no doubt totally loaded, and every time he goes out there or even practices he risks death or becoming a vegetable.
just got spliced-young family-plenty of dosh in the bank-add to this the fact the mercs will be pushed a lot closer next season so the experts say ...right time to go
