Tbf recognising the opportunity for that series of moves in such an arena was impressive but Karjakin was well fecked at that point and when he moved his Queen to f2 he probably felt like fecking off. If that position after Qf2 was presented as a problem it would be easy to solve. Doing it in such a crucial match is different gravy.

best one i saw was Nigel Shorts stymied game where he advances the king all the way up the board to reinforce a checkmate. How he thought that up is beyond me. Justifies the time they take for a move.
