Just been watching the moves. A thing of beauty.

How far out do you think his opponent saw he was beaten, or was it only when that devastating late Queen sacrifice move occurred?

What an incredible talent this man Carlsen is.  A pleasing visual resemblance to the greatest tennis player of all time as well, Roger Federer.

Tbf recognising the opportunity for that series of moves in such an arena was impressive but Karjakin was well fecked at that point and when he moved his Queen to f2 he probably felt like fecking off.
If that position after Qf2 was presented as a problem it would be easy to solve.  Doing it in such a crucial match is different gravy.

Thought it would go the way of past tournaments and just be endless draws.

best one i saw was Nigel Shorts stymied game where he advances the king all the way up the board to reinforce a checkmate. How he thought that up is beyond me. Justifies the time they take for a move.
