I agree Ron...it is always the so called anti fascists who start the violence

I do not think Thomas Mair is entirely sane myself. But in the world of todays terrorism, he was always going to go down.

Yeah Mair another victim of modern times.

Far Left or the "Control Left" as i heard them called earlier are the dangerous ones.

They say they have Liberal views, but there's absolutely nothing Liberal about
this horrid breed

Ron  I have always been on the far left and I am appalled at the actions, attitudes and policies of these people.

They seem to have abandoned clause 4 just like blair and his cronies.

Or at least they seem to spend more time on minor and minority issues than anything else. Some seem obsessed with US politics instead of concentrating on fighting for people's incomes, rights, welfare etc etc.  What happened to attacking the tory lot?

What do you make of this piece mobo, listened to it earlier on LBC. (Only 4 mins)

Maajid Nawaz worries that the British left is no longer liberal. Watch as he explains why.

More than 50,000 abusive and offensive tweets were sent celebrating Labour MP Jo Cox’s murder and lauding her killer, Thomas Mair, as a “hero” or “patriot” in the month following her death.

I'm being serious. You're trying to draw some comparison between Castro and Mair? Just really struggling to see it. Unless you're assuming I'm a massive Castro fanboy.

Specially curious because my input wasn't about Mair but about the 50,000 tweets in support of him.

I find it hard anyone would support what Mair did?Shocked

As for Mair himself, well I still wonder on his sanity.

Still he would have needed incarceration for life either in Prison or a Secure Mental Hospital.

I thought the latter, but that was not the verdict.

His brother Scott, 50, told reporters on Thursday that his brother had a "history of mental illness" but that "he has had help".

Thomas Mair: Man arrested in connection with Jo Cox attack was a 'loner' with 'history of mental health problems'

http://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/2016/06/16/jo-cox-mp-everything-we-know-so-far-about-thomas-mair/

Mair could speak eloquently at times about his mental health problems. In 2010, in an article in the Huddersfield Daily Examiner newspaper, he said that he had taken up volunteering because he had discovered that it brought him greater benefit than psychotherapy or medication.

“Many people who suffer from mental illness are socially isolated and disconnected from society, feelings of worthlessness are also common, mainly caused by long-term unemployment.

Mental health
In the immediate aftermath of the murder, there were suggestions among some neighbours that Mair had a history of mental illness.

According to members of his family, he had been treated for obsessive compulsive disorder, and it is said that he was so anxious about cleanliness that he had been known to scrub himself with pan scourers.

Thomas Mair sought help for mental health the day before he murdered MP Jo Cox

http://www.itv.com/news/2016-11-23/thomas-mair-sought-help-for-mental-health-the-day-before-he-murdered-mp-jo-cox/

Reports of Mair's mental health problems emerged in the days following the murder.

His brother, Scott, told reporters Mair had a “history of mental illness, but he has had help” and said he had never been political.

Mair himself spoke to the Huddersfield Examiner in 2010 about volunteering at the Oakwell Hall country park in Birstall, after being a patient at a day centre for adults with mental illness.

But he did not use mental health as a defence and gave no evidence at all during the murder trial.

Want me to dig up the dozens of links where the entire media immediately jumped at mental illness as a cause for what Dylan Roof or other white mass shooters in the US and elsewhere did while I'm at it?

By:

Obviously they needed to report the possible truth to start with to keep
it in line with the immediate conclusion they come to when a member of the
supposed religion of peace is involved.....

but as soon as they could, they dropped that theory - this is where the agenda
is put back into place
By:
edy
When: 27 Nov 16 03:15
Because they dropped it as soon as they could they still write about it at the end of November, many months after the murder?

I know you're trying to make out as if there's some agenda against the white man, but that is so disingenuous and plain false from you. Do remember how resiliant the media were to call out Dylann Roof, Anders Breivik and Robert Lewis Dear Jr. as what they are - terrorists? The first two white supremacy terrorists, the latter one a full blown Christian terrorist, but instead they were mostly just described as mentally ill killers or mass murderers. Even if muslim terrorists are described as mentally ill, the terrorist label is always there. Rightly so, but we're failing to call the non-muslim terrorists out for what they are a lot of times.

Similar story with migrant crime. Stuff that would be reported in a local newspaper at best if a local white dude commits it, makes front page national news if it's done by a muslim looking dude. Or take riots and even peaceful protest by minorities because they've had enough of the constant disenfranchisement: heavily scrutinised and critisised, sometimes ridiculed, while drunk white frat dudes burning cars down, throwing bottles at police men and stealing street signs because they lost a college basketball game gets a"haha, you lil rascals" treatment from the media and large parts of the population.

And how quickly did the media (and people on here) lose interest in the Thursday Montpellier killing when it started looking like it might not have been a muslim attacker?

Why was no medical evidence called on the state of Mair’s mental health?

The prosecution would have had no interest in proving that he was insane, or that his responsibility was diminished as a result of mental health problems.

Why then did the defence not call any such evidence? Insanity or, more realistically, manslaughter on the grounds of diminished responsibility, provided the only remotely plausible escape route from a life sentence. So why did the jury not hear from any psychiatrist? There are quite a number of explanations: perhaps Mair had refused to co-operate with the preparation of any such report. Perhaps he had co-operated but the psychiatrists had agreed that he was entirely sane and not suffering from any relevant mental health problems.

Even though the defence did not run any form of “psychiatric” defence, it is likely that before he is sentenced the judge will want to give some consideration to his mental health.

& Lets not forget the way a large percent tried to exploit the murder of Jo Cox

Well then, the BBC has excelled itself in the past 24 hours since the tragic murder of Labour MP Jo Cox. All decent people will have been shocked by her very public and very brutal killing. The alleged killer is a man with a history of mental illness, Thomas Mair. The exact circumstances seem unclear and we don’t know why he shot and stabbed her.

But the BBC is a different trajectory. It has been hellbent to establish the idea that Mair was a right wing extremist who shouted “Britain First” before he carried out his foul deed. The BBC has persisted with this despite the fact that two of the three eye witnesses who are alleged to have heard this have since made clear they did NOT and the third is a BNP supporter!

The intent is clear. Smear those MILLIONS of British people who are preparing to vote to LEAVE next Thursday. Emotionally blackmail them, embarrass them – make them either stay at home or change their mind.

The BBC has been sickening over this – as has it’s print arm, The Guardian. They are implying that the likes of UKIP are the “hate” that drove Mair to kill. This grotesque calumny is the only show in town today. Shameful.

One week before the EU referendum, with Vote Leave ahead and with clear momentum, and Cameron floundering – all of a sudden this. Campaigning has been suspended, I suspect some would like to see the actual vote suspended. And all the while the BBC is working feverishly to politicise a murder

mair ran no defence

he could , and maybe should have sought his own solicitor, and
then taken their advice

imo he is ill, and his illness also stopped him seeking a proper defence

i hope he will get the help he deserves,

he probably was assessed but probably didnt cooperate and therefore
we have this outcome

the whole process has been very very speedy !
