They were quite supportive when I went. I told them I'm very unfit and depressed by my weight and I want an easy exercise to start at home to build my confidence up. They just said chin up.

One near me is full of *****. Went for a introduction and couldn't exit the car park due to a barrier. Politely asked a member who was right next to it and he said no and to go and ask reception.  Called him a fatty/coffin dodger/bellend etc then had the wrath of the receptionist for upsetting the member Laugh

You don't need a membership then. Just drive in every night and walk to reception and back.

Went to the one in York, to suss it out with my daughter.

The facilities are incredible.

Didn't expect to have a whole hour look around with a personal trainer and I knew what was coming.

We sat in an airless cell with the guy, who was clearly looking for his commission.

You don't expect the hard selling tactics, somewhere like this, and in fact he oversold it, and then in desperation tried to stitch us up with
a better deal.

Well he had lost me long before that, and we were into something like £68.00 a month, from memory and this would have been eight years ago!

For someone who would go every day, and use all the facilities, it would have been reasonable, I guess, at just over £2.00 a visit.

We were both members of JJB, at the time, and the place was ideal at less than half of David Lloyd.

If you want indoor and outdoor tennis, and all the rest, then go for it.
