People overstretching themselves is a fairly recent trait. No spare money for the" nicer" things in life because they have mortgaged themselves up to the hilt.Instead of making do ie: buying second hand furniture, second hand car etc everything has to be top of the range and brand new.

One caller said he earns double the average wage but is struggling and will have to relocate from London because of the cost of rents and mortgages. He went on to say that they've made the choice for his wife to stay at home and look after their seven children. Laugh

Too many youngsters think it's their given right to have a job, car, holidays(abroad)and eat in restaurants..and I'm not talking shelf stacker, MK 1 fiesta, benidorm and Nando's...nope, they want a highly paid work with little responsibility as possible, Audi, Dubai break, skiing and Nando's.

I appreciate the cost of buying/renting a house is ridiculous nowadays, but the expectations of JAM changes every couple of years. It can now be scientifically measured by the size of the TV, people will be fighting over this Friday.
