That SNP MP did her party's image no good at all.

Shrieking and squawking after having to defending herself more than once after getting into a corner with her silly comments.

The feeling I got as she was speaking was ''oh shut up.''
Nobody appeared to know what was she going on about once she had started.
Then everyone breathed a sigh of relief when she finally stopped.

Can't the SNP find anyone better than that to represent them?

Was a waste of time regardless of your view on Trump or Clinton as there was absolutely zero insight from most of the panel on why Trump actually got elected and the 1 or 2 (from the panel and audience) who did try to offer an insight were just shouted down. It was just an excercise in who could be the most derogatory about Trump.

Surely everyone who hasn't lived under a rock for the last year has heard what Trump has said and the negatives of his campaign. The election has now been decided and surely the regardless of their opinion their role (particularly if their job is being a politician or an "academic") is to try and offer some insight in to the result of the election or at least listen to those who do offer some insight and try and understand the reasons behind the outcome.

They may as well just have said Trump is a **** and anyone who disagrees with me is wrong. That Blond wifie was terrible. Just wanted to rant about her own thoughts on Trump. Quite bizarre since she is supposedly a professor of Humanities which studies human culture. You'd think she'd be capable of listening to other peoples views for more than 2 seconds.

Report Dr Crippen November 11, 2016 1:35 PM GMT
Corbyn missed a golden opportunity to promote Labour by opposing Brexit. Simply because he was afraid of his own pro EU MPs who knifed him in the back anyway.

Apart from looking inconsistent by switching his views so starkly from anti EU to pro EU.
He would surely now be reaping the rewards of the many disillusioned ex Labour supporters coming back to the flock.
As shown from the number of working people who voted to come out.

I think he showed very poor judgement there and dishonesty into the bargain.
Report anxious November 11, 2016 1:42 PM GMT

Anxious it all about immigration.

The working classes up and down this world hate immigration as they bear the brunt of it.

If the Labour Party carry on ignoring their base they will move to UKIP.
Report donny osmond November 11, 2016 6:25 PM GMT
why would socialist labour supporters switch to ukip which is right wing nasty tories
in their book

fair dos they will short term,if they want to protest an anti brexit stance ....

but its not a natural home for their vote

of course the nasty tories would get wiped out too as they have brexit in their hands !
Report Dr Crippen November 11, 2016 6:55 PM GMT
It's strange that the BNP couldn't attract the working class vote, when all of their policies with the exception of immigration were left-wing.
They were the natural home for the working class vote

Which shows the power of the press for portraying them as the far right.

The same kind of misinformation surrounds the oddly named UAF - Unite Against Fascism.

Which is made up mostly of Muslims. These are supporters of Islam which is a brutal totalitarian way of governing in anyone's book.
With more parallels to fascism than anything that the opponents of Islam in this country have ever proposed.

Yet the media always report them in a highly favourable light.
Report donny osmond November 11, 2016 7:15 PM GMT
espousing a few socialist policies to pick up votes did not hide their intentions

ukip learnt from their mistakes and became a tolerable home for discontent

id be amazed if any of bnps 6% of the vote isnt now within ukip,

cameron and co tried the same dismissive tactics as worked on bnp,
but famously he isnt laughing now
Report Dr Crippen November 11, 2016 7:41 PM GMT
It wasn't just a few socialist policies that I read on the BNP website. It was the whole set. excluding their stance on certain immigrants and immigration.

In fact a right-winger on politics at the time said he couldn't support the BNP because they were a bunch of lefties.

UKIP learned nothing from the BNP because UKIP have little in common with the BNP.

Even UKIP's stance on immigration was different to that of the BNP.
Report donny osmond November 11, 2016 7:43 PM GMT
