You've beat me to it Clouseau. The irony is extraordinary. 'Not My President'. Err, yes he is... 'We reject the President Elect'. So they reject the democratic will of the people. Liberal fascists who attacked the police (not included in this video) who replied with tear gas. What other things can we reject I wonder? #Leicesterweren'tmyteamsotheycan'tbechampions |

The liberal mask has slipped. Half this country patiently waited years for a vote on brexit despite being unhappy. Good job they didn't behave like this mob.

Violence has broken out at anti-Trump rallies across America overnight as tens of thousands marched against the President-elect before angry mobs attacked police, started fires and shut down highways.
The streets of downtown Oakland in California were choked with smoke Thursday as police launched tear gas and protesters lit fires, in what became by some distance the most violent of the many protests against the election of Donald Trump. More than 6,000 protesters were seen on the streets of Oakland with an initially peaceful march down a cop-lined street turning nasty after some protesters threw bottles at officers and torched a police car. An office block was also attacked, daubed with 'f*** Trump' and 'kill Trump' graffiti and then set alight. And thousands more filled streets in Los Angeles before taking over the 110 Freeway while other protesters gathered outside City Hall, lighting fires and waving Trump heads on sticks. There were 14 arrests. - Daily Mail Gotta watch these Progressives.. |

They're only exercising their democratic right to protest innit!

By:
bonny greer will only come out and say 'I told you he would cause trouble'

Lots of people today only accept Democracy when it agrees with them

By:
it is odd that some bring up that the voting system is wrong
but only when they don't get the result they want uk or USA |
By:
Well mobo in the US not all votes are equal as another. The electoral college system is a broken one. Just like in the UK FPTP is also a poor system.
By:
agreed
By:
We know the system is wrong but when one candidate was going to walk it then its strange to cry wolf afterwards.

Amazing...we champion our wonderful Democratic system in the West.
Because the Media and celebrities don't like Trump, suddenly we decide it is no good ![]() The Media and celebrities should be ashamed of themselves. We get all get one vote in a system which is decided by millions of votes, it means at times we not be ruled by the person or party we voted for, it is decided by majority, live with it! I think Trump is the best man for the job. |
By:
There have been riots in the United States for the last few years, because of black/white issues.
It seems to be the way people want things out there now. |
By:
In the UK we voted not so long ago to keep the voting system that we have now.
If it hadn't been for the incompetent Nick Clegg leading the cause, we might have got things changed for the better. |
By:
I agree Dr Crippen, I voted for proportional representation myself, unfortunately the majority did not.
By:
How can a system that throws nearly 4 million votes down the drain be called democratic?
By:
I agree, but the argument was made and lost in this country.
It traps us in two party rule. Not surprisingly the two main parties canvassed this at the time . |
By:
IS, I agree it is pointless protesting. I would not have voted for him had I been able to, but I wouldn't protest the result either. Personally I think Gore in 2000 had far more grievances. I would set about trying to change the electoral college system to a system where every vote cast has the same impact on the result.

I think a lot of the increased extremism and violence in this World has been caused by the Credit Crunch myself.
After the Wall Street crash of 1929 Europe became very fascist because of World depression, inadvertently I think it contributed(not the main cause) to WWII. I hope the same thing is not happening again, we are retreating to the extremes. Completely off subject , but I thought I would throw that in, only my own opinion. |
By:
extremism has been on the rise long before the credit crunch you just need look at the g20
protests wherever it was held increased coverage brings increased repeats elsewhere by others two wrongs dont make a right, and raging at others aint going to help ease it |
By:
we are not trapped in a two party system either
if we were we would have tories v whiggs snp have shown it still can be done as will ukip if brexit is botched or butchered |
By:
I reckon much of the extremism has developed from a feeling of remoteness as big government became more aloof and talk through the media instead of at local levels which themselves have become metropolitan authorities instead of parish councils, etc. People just do not like big corporations fixing the agenda in their favour, avoiding taxes and buying influence at EU or Whitehall levels. Small businesses have suffered due to excessive regulation which helps big companies who have the resources to comply as the doors get shut to competition.Thats part of the appeal for Farage and, ironically Trump.

donny osmund
we are trapped in a 2 party system it used to be Tory v Wig Wig became the Liberal party, they were replaced by Labour as the the main opposition party Do you believe a 3rd party can break this, I don't |
By:
SNP are a Scottish Nationalist party, it is not e same thing
By:
SNP are not going to be elected to Westminster
By:
the labour party managed to break it !!!
By:
they replaced liberal as main opposition party
By:
yeah so they broke the two party system that existed
in the election before last we had a coalition government with labour the second largest party at the time out of government not sure how that suggests we are stuck in a two party system that cannot be broken |
By:
Just look back to the 1930s whenever you have economic depressions you have people running to the extreme left or right or populism
By:
The Tories needed the few liberal places to form government
It was not a coalition of equals 306 and 57 |
By:
hitler had his scapegoats and process is being shamelessly repeated
by folk who should know better |
By:
If you think anybody other than the Tories or Labour will win next election, dream on
By:
it was still a coalition
just watch the system get turned on its head if may fecks up brexit |
By:
The thing that does worry me though is that we could have a war a religious war like the crusades or something crazy like that
By:
Islam needs to change but change cannot even be discussed. Bring on the Catholics .
By:
The great melting pot agenda will never work.
There will always be differences of tolerance. We are seeing the signs of that tipping point now,. |
By:
That's what i think Zen.
If it was left any longer Brexit might never have happened & a Trump type may never have been voted in. Germany & France now need to start taking back control of their countries. How can Merkel question Trump about his immigration polices as if shes leading the way ![]() |
By:
We need a hard brexit now, the EU is a disaster pulling a lot of countries
into that problem......we need to get as far away as possible for me. |
By:
That's not going to happen is it though
By:
Mother May has already done somersaults on this , in the campaign she was a silent remainer
