I hardly ever watch the same thing twice. If I do I'd want at least 10 to 20 years to have elapsed between viewings. I watched Papillon again recently and am tempted to read the book. I recall watching Platoon twice on consecutive days when it was released on video. Think it's the only film.

am i the only guy that thinks that they should have convicted the plaintiff in twelve angry men..
I fall asleep with specs on all the time, they dismiss the witness because she had indentations on her nose? might be long sighted, might be sunglasses. They basically say the witnesses were liars. Who wants the old man dead? has a knife like the boy? Also they say she couldn't hear because of the train going by. A lot of the time I lip read - go to a bar with loud music it's what everyone does? I get that it's about reasonable doubt but it's a bit slanted. |

Seen 12 Angry Men a few times over the years, I take Zorros point about the reasons for acquittal however I think that is a total side issue of the film, this is totally about personalities the claustrophobic way they have to come to a decision & one mans effort to punch his way through a brick wall, as acting goes this film is as good as it gets.

Once upon a time in America, long film but a masterpiece only film i watch on a yearly basis, two films recommended to me recently from the forum on another thread, We still kill the old way, and Julia i thought both we absolute ****..

no mention of shawshank redemption? too obvious?
Goes to show though that you don't need special effects costing a bomb. Special effects are used more to tart up a film with crap storylines. |

Watched most of these on here, several times too, but some of my most watched films are The Hunt for Red October and The Blues Brothers to add just a few to the list. I also found 'Flight' a good watch last weekend, especially the opening scene
