So, thanks

I've never liked jeans, so stopped for good at around 21 I guess.
I see what you mean, though. A 90-year-old bloke in jeans would look a bit ridiculous. |

By:
Don't let them dishearten you, Lester.
May have been only 33 posts in 12 years, but it's original. I may start thread, such as "famous people who look daft in jeans" ... Jeremy Clarkson (but would look daft in anything, IMO) |

don't scare of potential new posters Johnny, this place needs new blood
![]() This is a perfect question to ask for a chit chat forum imo. If you're talking about casual wear than I'd say 40. But over 40's who do labour type work, jeans are no problem. But men wearing jeans over 40 to the pub is as bad as men at any age wearing lycra whilst riding a bike. |

OK, my apologies to the OP.
There was something in the Sunday Times recently (may have been Adrian Gill) and I seem to recall the cut-off age is 40. |

Depends on the colour. Blue Denim is a no no over 40.. Black can be worn at any age ....as long as they're not too tight.....as my new pair are.
|
|
By:
I've kept a pair of black Levis 501? that I bought about 15 years ago, very good nick and they weren't cheap.. hoping that they will fit me again one day

Wearing a Denim jacket with jeans?
ie Double Denim.... hanging is too good for them. |
|
By:
I was recently wondering if people still wore denim jackets. I hadn't noticed a bloke in one for ages.
Then Peter Barlow turned up in one. ![]() |

Never stop imo. Chinos not a good look when you lose control of your bladder.
|
|
By:
Depends if they're skinny or not.
|
|
By:
Wearing jeans after the age of 30 doesn't look good on a man. They are a sign of an unreliable, unproud, even dishonest character.
|
|
By:
I have no symphony for anyone who wears them, unless they are working in industry, or poor.
|
|
By:
very cold in winter, old men need to wrap up warm.

i'm well over 94.5 and still wear ripped jeans and a crop top, although i do like to incorporate a cravat.
