will people have to get a holiday visa to travel to Europe once brexit is triggered.
I notice that thousands of people from northern Ireland are travelling to Dublin every weekend to get European passports .I am guessing this is for easy travel after brexit is triggered.

i doubt british passport holders will need a visa to travel to europe, but thats up for discussion.

if you can get an irish passport you will be able to live in eu country of choice and not just
travel there without restriction. anyone with a parent or grand parent born on the island of
ireland can now get an irish passport and therefore an eu passport.

But immigrants are aloud to roam free when they hit UK turf

They might say they are supposed to check in here and there but the truth is they don't and a call will suffice
Report G1_Jockey_4 • October 25, 2016 9:43 AM BST
but they wouldnt be able to get benefits just like that especially if there was enough red tape.

how it works on the continent is if you arrive in another eu country and know your staying..you have to check in at the local nick.
then apply for a residents permit.

without one its quite difficult to get certain things.

to get a residents permit you would have to prove you could support yourself (if you had no job) or have a contract of employment.

dunno what the system is in the uk but if people arent getting resident permits how are they allowed to get things like car tax...internet if they rent under their own name...health services if they havent got a job?

that would point to our system not being upto scratch.

ie..not enough red tape.
Report brassneck • October 25, 2016 2:27 PM BST
if a guy was busted by the law in the uk for having a bit of grass in his pocket 20 years ago he is likely to be refused entry into Europe even on holiday if it is a hard brexit.this is my opinion

what did you do when you came here from another country?

did you have to sign in at the local nick and get a residents card so you could go about your daily business without a hitch?

i am English so didn't have to go through all that.

I lived in Malta for a few years and the rigmarole there was ridiculous. Seemed like we spent every day off queueing in some sweltering office in Valletta to provide some paperwork, which of course had to be counter-signed by a notary for a princely sum.

you end up getting sent all over the place to wrong offices in wrong towns, it was an absolute nightmare when I lived thereCry

well, get this ZenMaster. I had to spent half an hour with someone, I strongly think it was a Brit, who was massively offended and outraged at the German chancellor for taking a mini German flag out of a party secretary and either put it on the table or gave it to someone in the crowd.

Or this: I recently heard about a politician who was so outraged and offended about people using their democratic right to voice their opinion, that he really stepped so low and called them quislings, a martial war term for traitors that work for an occupying enemy force.

Report ZenMaster • October 26, 2016 11:22 AM BST
'Snakes in the grass' is also an interpretation of quisling.
Clegg and Miliband can certainly be referred to as quislings edy.

We all have democratic rights to be snakes in the grass edy.
We also have a democratic right to expose them.

Quislings is a very accurate term for these two.
Report edy • October 26, 2016 11:27 AM BST
Snakes in the grass is just a metaphor for the meaning I mentioned. I didn't say you can't use the term. Use it all you want. Just that the phrase was quite clearly used from a position of being easily offended at nothing other than people using their basic democratic rights.

Or being offended at someone who isn't even of the same nationality not waving a mini flag around Laugh
