More likely the reverse. Ecuador knows Hillary will be president and is getting twitchy at Assange completely screwing relations between the two countries.

Trump building a wall to keep him in.....Doing a fine Job for him

"The government of Ecuador respects the principle of non-intervention in the internal affairs of other states. It does not interfere in external electoral processes, nor does it favor any particular candidate," the Ecuadoran foreign ministry said in a statement.

In consequence, the ministry said, it decided to "temporarily restrict" communications at the embassy.

On Monday, WikiLeaks accused Ecuador of cutting off Mr Assange's internet communications at the behest of US Secretary of State John Kerry, citing "multiple US sources".

The United States denied the allegation.

This is to protect ClintonSad

Still since Trump's policy is to keep South Americans(including those from Ecuador) out of North America,

I can see why.

He has been in that Embassy for years, they have not seen to need to cut him off before?

I always wonder how long the data wiki has will remain relevant?
They collected a bumper prize of info and restricted the flow to draw out the impact but will the leaks still be relevant in years to come?
Or do they still receive a steady flow of more up to date damning evidence?

Julian is effectively under house arrest which may become the place he dies, he almost serves as a warning in itself to would be whistle blowers that they too may end up the same.

I think cutting the internet cord on  Assange will not silenced the wikileaks mastermind, who likely has multiple backup systems in place to ensure his reign of terror on the politically powerful continues long after he loses web access.
He could have setup  a ‘deadman’s switch’ where backup sites on all the leaked data could be ready to pour out information under pre-instructions provided by him or his top staff located anywhere in the world

From a continental perspective, 40.9% of Ecuadorian exports by value are delivered to North America while 23.3% are sold to Latin America (excluding Mexico) and Caribbean importers. Ecuador ships another 20.1% worth of goods to European customers with 14.8% going to Asia.

No pressure put on them im sure Happy
