Apart from my school days, I've never been to a museum. I read most days and I've not stepped foot in a library for about eight years.

Do we know how many of each are left in the county?
Report Facts • October 1, 2016 10:17 PM BST
Yes, appalling. And what is more, totally uneccessary. More Councils, should refuse to accept/ implement these cuts.

S.kenbo.
Many people haven't got access to the Internet at home or own books of their own. Libraries are essential in our society.

Public lending libraries should be abolished. The free market has got this covered with 2nd hand book stores, book festivals, boot sales, and amazon. There's still a few private lending libraries about too.
Yet some people still want me to be grateful that I get to pay for them through taxes on pain of having my belongings taken away by bailiffs.

Years of mismanagement by our governments, the good things passed down by previous generations we are not able to maintain. No country in history has been able to cope with the levels of immigration in Britain.

Article 50 kicking in by March according to Theresa just now.

The days of mass migration are coming to an end.

Its not only the immigrants which cost money. The asylum seekers are worse housing, schools, benefits, no work  and they can commit as many crimes as they want secure in the knowledge they will not be deported

the last thing you want is for the plebs to learn how to read and then go into libraries and find out so much more

I fkn did and it caused ructions -  they don't want you to do this sort of thing

I have no problem with Libraries closing per se.

If sufficient people used them, they would not be closing.

If there is demand for internet, cafes will spring up.  Everyone over about 10 has a smartphone.
