That said i should imagine that the Americans are heartily sick of throwing money and medical and humanitarian aid and engineering and technical and scientific help..and lives lost into these places.
No they might be inclined to say that`s it sort it out amongst yourselves...unfortunately times up.

Its all about trade and commerce with USA they dont give a fook about syria other than they might end up causing problems down the road for them and their protectionist mentality of having the most of everything at the expense of most of the others.
This always comes back to capitalism attempting to raid other's ponds for growth and profit and opportunities to create profits at all costs to pay the debts that were created by racing to the bottom.
This is all about America v Russia version 4 or poss 5.

The US is in the happy position of not having to rely on trade and commerce. Everything it needs it can get from within the borders of its own land and creativity.
It can step away and be the most successful and creative and prosperous country the world has ever known.

The only time america gets involved themselves is when the airforce have total supremacy and the nation they are attempting to destabalise has an effect on their money markets in some form or other.
They ultimately get their face washed back home by the electorate just like in vietnam.

This is how it is, the prosperity of all the western nations, and the rest of the world since WW2 is because of one great country, the US. the german economy, the japanese, the british, the chinese etc all of these nations owe the prosperity of the last 100 years to the inventiveness and brilliance of the US

Its all false ffs, ethereal inflated nonsense.
Its not relative to anything. There used to be a time when the money in your pocket was a guarantee of payment of gold reserves in a bank and the value of assets were directly relevant to the cost of the resources in the world.
That stopped decades ago and now america is just totally debt riddled and kick the can down the road eachtime 'default' of the loan appears.
They are the biggest debt ridden failure with a veil of acceptance over it as though its acceptable to live totally broke.

All those goods that were created as a result of the manufacturing base after ww2 were effectively never paid for in the west.
All the movement out of poverty that were experienced were actually called in there and then to the benefit of those alive around the time, only for those in future generations to stump up the bill.
How will that happen?

And all the invented derivatives and opportunities to con and steal through the markets, the housing crash and manufacture, creation of proxy war and sale of arms to finance private sector investment banks and venture capitalism who make gains on the suffering of others.....
But they have nice apple pie and tidy home lawns so everything is fine.

everyone must look after themselves so that things can be peaceful and good everywhere, who would deny that?

it`s a bit much to blame the US if we are not prepared to make our own countrys peaceful and democratic and happy.
By:

now how does Syria go about that?  well i would suggest a first step would be to listen to the US and do what they are told.

Britain follwed america in, nuts and all, we are almost as broke as they are.
You dont create responsible peace by being the two greatest manufacturers of doom

yes that`s the problem, nothing to do with personal responsibility.

they cant opine on responsibility
By:

When: 21 Sep 16 16:46
not at all, America through its medicine and drugs save lives and eases suffering while others create death and destruction and pain
By:

When: 21 Sep 16 16:49
Im on about the vehicles of destruction were made and financed in america and the states that collapse have always had American involvement in behind the scenes.
All the time proceeds paying guilt edged interest rates to the private owned federal reserve that until very recently was almostly completely unregulated
By:
dustybin
When: 21 Sep 16 16:50
...who of course lend money to the american government to make and sell arms in areas that are at war......
By:
lfc1971
When: 21 Sep 16 16:58
Vechicles of destruction are just as much vehicles of protection and freedom.
If people are prepared to murder each other by various barbaric means using the most basic of weapons, as in Syria or Iraq or Afghanastan or Ryanda etc etc it has nothing to do with technology, it is the absense of any sense of right or wrong. there are literally thousands, millions of such people in these countries.
That is the main difficulty. It has alwats benn there throughout history, even before the formation of the US.
it is easy to put the blame at someones elses door.

If we could arm a certain faction in Syria that we though might be capable of bringing about a free and democratic and peaceful country that would be something to consider.
but the problem remained on the ground it was very difficult to find such people.
it was however a question of trying to sort them from the thousands of fanatical lunatics, its not easy.

Then let them make the arms they need to protect and leave it at that.
But thats not the point of it, the point is to create a medium to trade in thats development pays for itself through ring fenced government sector financing.
They have to keep dropping bombs on somebody to vindicate the theory that they need to finance the development of better technology.
They arnt going to bomb their own are they?
Well except for the 1000 nuclear bombs they dropped on their own land and in the pacific.
By:

When: 21 Sep 16 17:06
...and then dictated to everyone else that they wernt allowed to develop nuclear
By:
lfc1971
When: 21 Sep 16 17:11
well it was America who invented the bomb, you should be pretty grateful it was them and not nazi Germany or the Soviets who got there first.
By:

When: 21 Sep 16 17:13
of course it led to an American empire of sorts, but a very benign one especially when compared to past ones in history, or even the repression and mass killings and slave labour camps of the Soviet empire.
By:
dustybin
When: 21 Sep 16 17:13
well it was a collective made up of a number of nation's scientists that did.
Germany had surrendered by the time the bomb had been developed but the scientist were hell bent on dropping it on somebody
By:
dustybin
When: 21 Sep 16 17:15
I believe the scientist said something like 'we dont do politics' when asked whether they should go ahead even though the war was almost over
