In order of preference....Barcelona, Granada, Seville/Madrid

I would go something similar. 1.Granada 2.Barcelona 3.Madrid Have not been to Sevilla. There isn't much between Granada and Barcelona.I prefer Granada for the history of it and the fact that its much smaller than Barcelona.
Madrid would be a fairly distant third, still a great city, but the other two are amazing.

Beautiful place, the Islamics left some proper enrichment on their first European invasion.

I remember watching Michael Portillo on one of his train journeys where he visited Seville and Cordoba. Both places looked lovely, especially Cordoba with the flamenco dancers and the Andalusian horses Love

Far as i remember, at that time the ruling class that built places like Granada were all Sufi Muslims. The peaceful tolerant kind.
I went to one of their festivals in Lahore. They were extremely welcoming and a lot were smoking weed.
Now...Sufism is one of the most persecuted sects of Islam. Its a shame how far the Islamic world has regressed.

But, there are enough threads on here about that.So...anyway...Granada is pretty great
