I do find it amazing that it's this that gets him kicked off his job chairing the home affairs select committee.
much in the same way that everyone gets their knickers in a twist over expenses, but seem pretty unconcerned over far more profligate waste through incompetence at doing their actual jobs, we have a man here, who when dealing with the issue of female circumcision, recommended that grown women should no longer be allowed to have vaginoplasty. i.e. demonstrated a complete inability to understand the key issue of consent. that incident is far more of an indictment of his inability to do that job properly than getting a few rent boys to bum him into next month. |

You might be missing the point, DStyle. The Home Affairs Select Committee is currently reviewing the prostitution laws, which makes this incident a very relevant indictment of his ability to that job properly imo.
It puts his campaign to de-criminalize poppers in a different light too. I wonder whether Private Eye will resume their Vaz! strip in the style of Viz! ("The Brothers Hinduja - their Cheques are Huger" was a good one.) |
