Ron - you can't keep recycling the same argument, even if well intentioned, for every subject. If I am not mistaken, this "issue" is about who wears what on the beach. If you think your post is relevant, you'll need to do a bit better and construct a meaningful statement on the issue at hand.

nb - cue failure to respond other than resort to personal abuseLaugh

'I don't think anyone should tell women what to wear,' says London Mayor Sadiq Khan

I think it's statements like that that rile people.
Not what he's saying as he's right but the fact that he is a member of a religion that tells woman what to wear in certain circumstances.

Well we do tell all people what to wear, nudity is banned.

Nudiy is banned irrespective of religion, specious argument.

I meant specific instructions in a recognised form.
ie similar to that contained in the Islamic bible.

The naked rambler is a fruitcake that needs locking up btw.

If you sat there quietly eating your pork pie and drinking your Special Brew, it would be entirely possible there would be no problem at all

He just wanted to walk around naked.  And has spent many years in prison as a result. I reckon anyone who wanted to wander around naked (except in certain designated areas or certain designated events) will go to prison. So no, we dont let people wear what they want in public.

mini-me.  Agreed, breast-feeding would be a mere insurance policy guaranteed to retain your place on the pebbles.

Please take a selfie of you all wearing clothes so that we can vote on whether they should be allowed

But we do Rob. People are free to wear what clothes they choose.
What they cannot do is not wear clothes. Bit of a difference.

outrageous some of the reactions I got to my mankini on Brighton beach.

Who cares if it's lime green or if there's a little fur showing. We can't all afford the back sack and crack.

Look away if it offends.

This is so simple.. It's all about following the customs (in most countries apart from wishy washy UK) and LAWS in lots of countries. We respect their rules in their countries so WE should have rules and laws as well

Is the issue about it being banned
the possibility of someone blowing themselves up on the beach do you think,

lets be honest it's unsuitable wear for the beach, bit like me wearing
a sheep skin & laying on a sun bed, id be looked at like a nutter. Crazy

Lets get the facts out about the supposed religion, that's what we need!!

mini me - so what are you suggesting re the subject of this thread?   We should have rules that people should not wear too many clothes?  You must not enter the water with more than 70% of your body covered by cloth/or other obscuring material? .

Ron - I know you haven't had long but is this the best you can doWink.  What action are you proposing to implement to deal with this serious seaside overdressing issue.

i've never agreed with the nudest beach tbh, always thought it odd,

but as they have their own beaches most times secluded maybe that's an idea
for the burkini brigade rather than interacting with normal people?

Blackbarn - love to see you dive into the sea in your dinner suit and TOP hat

Your preferred endgame is clear Ron, and it's rather more than distasteful to most 'normal' people.

You're the same as the people you're afraid of.

This is the trouble with the 21st century, too many bleeding heart types trawling the internet looking for stuff to be offended by. Oh look, overdressed women on a beach. In England. Someone ban it. Ffs grow up.
