I see....yet he campaigned for us to stay in the EUCrazy........how do you work that out?
Just because Cameron campaigned to Leave the EU does not mean he thought it would endanger the country if we voted out. He lined himself up alongside the establishment backed *experts* Gery, yet 6 months before this he was on record revealing how the UK would do ok outside the EU. 138 Tory MP's supported Brexit Gery, Cameron could have been easily swayed to support it as well behind closed doors. Like all the Tory Party, Cameron will embrace Brexit.....it just means more work for most of them, not so much an endanger issue. |

By:
All because of Farage.

Sorry Gery getting weary now
Just because Cameron campaigned to *Remain* in the EU does not mean he thought it would endanger the country if we voted out. |
By:
Then why did he use those implied phrases during the Campaign ?
By:
^ his ' scaremongering tactics '
By:
I agree Facts.
However there is no point in blaming Farage, Cameron or anyone else now Zenmaster. Because the people of this country voted DEMOCRATICALLY to leave the EU....so it was the peoples choice. |
By:
I don't know what will happen now?
By:
Then why did he use those implied phrases during the Campaign ?
You already know the answer to that Facts. Same reason Osbourne suggested there would have to be an emergency budget in the wake of a Leave vote. Gery I am not blaming anyone, i am giving full credit to Farage for pressure applied and spooking Cameron. Incredible really, considering Ukip only have one MP. However that is more to do with our voting system more than support in voters nationally. |

If you think Trump and Farage are the only ones concerned with immigration, you are not living in this world, anxious.
just my opinion Nobody has to agree with them if they do not want to. People are supposed to have a brain of their own?????????????????????????? |
By:
Would you be guilty of fear and hatred if you lock your door when you go out anxious?
Are nightclubs guilty of fear and hatred for having security manning the doors? Controlling borders is same thing but on a larger scale. Being in control is not a fear or hate issue. It's a security issue. |
By:
Did I say it doesn't concern me , no this issue especially with Trump is pure opportunism in fact I think he revels in the chaos of fear and hatred.

Not sure if anyones not seen these, Nigel on USA news after his Trump speech.
Worth watching! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=upUSy8zD3Qw https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=--6eA5IcjwE |

Does that mean that David Cameron endangers the whole country by giving us the opportunity to leave the EU?
Clearly 17 million voters thought that was never the truth. PMSL. |

Did I say it doesn't concern me , no this issue especially with Trump is pure opportunism in fact I think he revels in the chaos of fear and hatred. Not everybody see the words immigration control as words of fear and hatred, this is down to the individual. Some of us are concerned about immigration levels because of what this is doing to our own people. I get on ok with most immigrants on a personal level....I do not fear or hate them. I just think there are too many of them over here. |
By:
I agree there a far too many

David Cameron wanted the cheap labour for his big business friends, the ones that bankrolled him.
Labour wanted the extra voters. Neither were ever affected by mass immigration, they never live in the affected areas. Nigel Farage was the only politician to speak for those affected. That's what makes him a working class hero. |
By:
Cameron may not have been bothered about the cheap labour benefit but as a politician it was easier to anticpate the loud lobbying and be cowardly while appeasing by taking the greasy way out and calling ordinary people racist while doing nothing in reality about the problems.Farage effectively called him out on that and the british people spoke for once.
By:
Lol. Thinking of Cameron taking the greasy way out.
By:
The UK voted for political independence without a shot being fired Gery.
If you think political independence harms one`s own country then perhaps you need to revisit your own internal dialogue. |
By:
I did not say political independence harm's one own country zenmaster
I said being outside the EU may harm us from a trade point of view. I also questioned whether David Cameron should have offered us a referendum if he felt that it would, since his motive was only to win an election. This does not seem to me a very moral thing to do. Of course if he felt we had to have a referendum on principle then that would have been morally correct.. I doubt this though. I think Cameron was a moral vacuum, he did anything just to get and keep power. |
By:
UKIP wiped the floor with all parties at the last Euro elections he couldn't ignore that.
By:
Well if you thought he did the morally correct thing then ok BB.
I have doubts myself. Also I note that when Crimea voted by 97% to join Russia we did not accept that. We have imposed sanctions against them which harms both of us????????????????????? People should decide whether they believe in referendums or not. |
By:
Anyway it is the people who have decided to leave the EU.
It was not the decision of either Farage or Cameron. |
By:
sanctions were not imposed because of a referendum they were imposed by the EU and it's killing our farmers.
By:
I know BB, so we can now trade with Russia as we are out the EU, but will we?
By:
It was not the decision of either Farage or Cameron.
Farage pressurised Cameron to offer the referendum. Without Farage = no referendum. You know that Gery. |
By:
I do not know that ZenMaster
Farage did not pressurise Cameron......he stood up for what he believed in Perhaps Cameron should have done the same! |
By:
Well if you thought he did the morally correct thing then ok BB.
Why are you concentrating on whether Cameron was morally correct in offering the referendum? It was tactical. I doubt very much Cameron was confident of winning the GE with a majority. However he kept his word. We had the referendum. |
By:
Because I think we would benefit if our leaders operated on some Moral basis.
I do not appreciate leaders who keeping telling us lies, look at the mess it lands us in! |
By:
The moral basis was that Cameron realised the public wanted the referendum Gery.
He may not have wanted it. But through Farage, Cameron realised the weight of support for a referendum was too much to ignore. |
By:
Then he should be grateful to Farage
By:
We should all be grateful to Farage.
If the referendum was to sign up for the 1993 Maastricht Treaty with our 23 years of hindsight, it would never happen. Farage has been challenging this since 1993. 11 years before the 2004 Enlargement of the EU when Poland and the other 9 countries became EU members and introducing free movement for them. So Farage was opposing the EU as a founder member of Ukip 11 years before the EU migrant issues were upon us. Yet he still gets accused of blaming immigrants for everything. Most of those who demonise him are totally ignorant to his path. |
By:
Well said Zen, all the loudmouth pundits failed to listen to Farage whenever he mentioned it was more about democracy rather than immigration. The link was that without our own freedom to decide we couldn't do anything about mass immigration levels.I feel the BBC was fully responsible for smearing Farage and would love him to be appointed Director General tobring them to heel !
