I mean the sort where somebody chants over a loudspeaker several times a day.  Is that banned in this country down to noise pollution?

I don't rise until noon so would be rather annoyed to be within earshot of such tomfoolery.

They do in a part of Leicester,, you can here it streets away. I was told it was allowed as it's the same as Church Bells ringing.
Report Arleystation August 25, 2016 10:05 AM BST
As a general rule Church bells are only rung for 30 minutes every Sunday morning. Not quite the same as the slightly more frequent Moslem klaxons.
Report wildmanfromborneo August 25, 2016 10:12 AM BST
Church bells are part of Britains culture and history, the call to prayer isint and shouldn't be allowed.

The muezzin calls the faithful to prayer five times a day from the minaret. If you have a problem with that, I suggest you complain to your wonderful Prince Charles, heir to the throne and self styled "defender of the FAITHS".
