The Kandahar Giant

I got chatting to this Scottish ex-serviceman tonight outside the err weapon shop next to the habit (Goodramgate, York). It's always fascinated me that this shop can sell Rambo type knives and crossbows etc, right in York town centre! Anyway, he was telling me the story of the Kandahar Giant. The story goes, that some American serviceman were in a remote part of Afghanistan and all contact was lost with them. Another patrol was sent to their last known location and cam across the bones and remains of the previous patrol and then came across the alleged 12-15 foot tall red haired giant. He was wielding a ca 10 feet staff and impaled one of the serviceman, before being shot dead by the rest of the patrol.
