All dogs can be aggressive if they are not properly trained; I was walking past a cocker spaniel today & it went for me with no provocation - fortunately it was on a leash but nevertheless it would have tried to bite me if given the opportunity

Yes but we all know you walk around with raw hot dogs down the front of your pants

And if a Spaniel attacks you you kick it in the face and it runs off, I don't know what the actual jaw leverage/bite strength of one of these dogs bred for fighting is but I think even a very strong man could struggle with one, they are bred to be balls of muscle and teeth and imho bred with a screw loose.

I mean thinkignj about that famous video of a couple years ago where the dog attacks a kid and the cat attacks the dog. It's another one of these little nasty b*stards.

Dogs are lovable but they also have animal instincts (just like humans).
I'd never trust a dog, even my own 2. They certainly wouldn't mean to do any harm but who knows what goes through their minds. |

I trust the right type of dogs if I know them. I wouldn't trust one of these mental little buggers as far as I could throw them. It always seems to be them behind these things, pretty much every time. And even if they aren't less mental than other dogs (which I don't believe), they are far harder to defend against. I'd ban them. Not kill them all off of course, just have them all newtered so they die out naturally.

newtered? New-tyred. That's better. I think quickfit do it.

67% of deaths by dogs in USA have been by Pit Bull and similar breeds. But the remaining 33% is a mixed bag with Labradors, Daschunds and even a Yorkshire Terrier included.

I agree with the op. No need for any of these dangerous dogs. Greyhounds make perfect pets btw.

One of the killers was said to be a Labrador X.
