Obviously there is more to it than that, but men are sexier if they are harder to get.  Women get hit on all the time so someone who is just friendly can pique their curiosity. Maybe treat women like their sister or mother and then let them do the running.

I will think of that Annie. The trouble with me is the only way women can reach me is by treating me badly. Unfortunately that is too much for me
and in the end it destroyed me.

I don't understand what crags an david fishwick are saying, I suppose I have never understood women either.

I will say it again, only for the sake of decent men like ebulGery, capt F, bito, studyform, akabula, et, etc, because I am sick and tired of crags etc winding me up, again.

BETFAIR POSTED ON THE POKER FORUM THAT I WAS A FEMALE AND TOLD POSTERS TO STOP HARASSING ME, it hasn't worked has it Sad

I suppose I had better get onto them again.

That is actually quite hard Annie. If we feel strongly for some one it can actually hurt. So in the end we either have to win them or go away from them completely. Being just a friend is hard.

in defence of crags, it seems some people are just too precious (even those which signed up using the identity of a female acquaintance/kin)

I have to say, Studyform, knowing what little I do about you, I am absolutely astonished by your original posting, to the extent that I wonder whether your account has been hacked. In all my years on here I have never been more astonished. And that includes all the abuse I have received over the years regarding the Holy Grail and my political views.  I am absolutely staggered, and that really does take some doing!

You're close slicer. His account wasnt hacked though. He merely copied one of my posts.

It is I, sorry to disappoint, Slicer. I'm not sure how you only know a little about me, over the years I've told loads and my thoughts about the escapees from the politics forum aren't new either.

Sod off, Mikael, you know you only copied me in the 1st place Laugh.

ebul, This forum used to be a place were people just posted what they wanted. True, there was the occasional barney, but the community was huge and the community spirit huger!
There was always something to laugh at too. Now, whether it's just the result of a tough society or the hijacking of nearly every subject on here most of the humour is somewhat dissipated.

Annie - Following my giving up the betting shop, my new life couldn't comprise more different (or much harder) work, I'm still a bit under the cosh financially (Ces't la vie). I might divulge its nature one day, when I'm feeling better about the forum.

Fishy - Do you know what? I can't find those socks Sad

Pumph - Evenin' to you too. Hope you're well.

Crags and Ozymandius - Approval from where I'd least expect it, I'm as stunned as Slicer!!!!

Maybe a gradual return to posting, if I can avoid getting too wound up by it, is possible. Try and instigate some jollity instead of venting, eh?
I might even run a competition or 2 again in the future. For those who like that sort of thing - I didn't bother with the Euros or the Golf which I had intended to do.

Thanks Hank, I hope Junior is doing well. You've just reminded me, I need to set tactics tonight.

The worlds changing tho STUDYFORM.

i wish we could go back to the 80's but it ain't gonna happen, so all we can
do is aim our frustration that nothings being done at places like this unfortunately!
in the early 2000's Britain was still a nice place (just), Tony Blair was just f**king
the country up at that time - how that man sleeps at night i will never know.

No....that would be a Chinese Communist party official who had defrauded 500 peasant farmers of their ancestral lands to build a new-town borough where nobody wants to live, owing $50m to HSBC.

Well at least your account hasn't been hacked. If some of you wished you could go back to the 80s, I wish I could go back to the 60s. Those were the days my friend but they did come to an end!

Yo Muntz, I hope you're well.
Witham, I popped in to your workplace again last week when meeting my son, but there was a "no-one about" sign instead of activity. I'll catch you eventually.
Capt_F. Nobody wanted it. There are hardly any left now. In fact I spoke to another indy a few weeks back, bloke been in the game 40+ years, he said he's only keeping going so he can be the last man standing.
I had a few Chinese customers as it happens, but I'm pretty sure they only bought bean sprouts from the peasant farmers.
Neither they nor I owned the building.
