They are very worried about Steve as he comes across as very sensible, likeable and is a good speaker.

Dr he had already paid the nomination fee and he had been trying to log in since the Friday. There is talk that the computers were shut down on purpose as they were amazingly functioning 10 mins after the deadline had expired.

He forgot about his drink driving conviction when seeking election as Police and Crime Commissioner for Greater Manchester so easy to understand how he could have forgotten the deadline for filing his application to be UKIP leader.

Perhaps leading a political party is not the job for someone with such a poor memory though, it might lead to the public not finding out things they really ought to know if they're thinking about voting for him.

They managed to re open the Brexit voting for another 24hrs after the deadline when it was clear that not enough remain
voters had voted. What would be wrong with doing the same here if the computers had went down?
