How's this going to be policed then? or do they think the change in  legislation will have everyone who doesn't have a licence in a sweat?

Good luck logging the IP address of anyone using a VPN. Will be very easy to get around any measures they bring it

Unfortunately it will be still showing the same dross the bbc currently shows

We have speed limits despite some drivers apparently regarding them as optional. A more philosophical objection might be that it changes the nature of the television licence from a tax on watching telly to ... almost but not quite ... a BBC subscription.

Think they were going to try and block vpn use.  However, in any case you have to remember that you are dealing with a quango here and they will doubtless try to get a court order to seize all computer equipment in an unlicensed household for examination.

BBC to deploy detection vans to snoop on internet users, so this how they intend to police the new policy, If this was April 1st I would lol, but it ain't. DISTURBING !

dave1357 - Bet24/7 already block VPN access to their website. I can access all other bookies from my PC and iPad, but not Bet24/7.
