Pleased to say that I owned one almost just like that in 1972.

Only differences are that mine had triple wipers, and a full length "Webasto" sunroof.
OH....and no white-wall tyres..!

Nice car AP. Who's the bloke in the pic? Looks like a cross between David Seaman and Peter Sutcliffe.

Anyway, back to cars. The finest car I've owned and is the one that all others should be measured against is the Mercedes SL. An astonishing piece of German craftsmanship.

The sharp eyes on here will have seen that this car left the factory in black and was reportedly
fully de-trimmed and refinished in red!

A bit of a retrograde step imo.

Also, what doesn't show up in this photo is that the windows had a pronounced green tint!

Austin Ambassador - it drives nice.

obviously the jag looks better, but it probably is a

made it out of discarded bean tins.

I love the Jaguar E Type ...but bestest Car ever made ???
A matter of personal choice...someone else might say a VW Beetle ? or Porshe 911 or ...etc ..etc ..
I won't list the Cars I've owned - you might get jealous ...
My Son (22 years with Ferrari Italy - now Senior Manager with McLaren) had a Ferrari F-50... chipped and with Tubi exhaust system - I drove it a few times ...phucking awesome...see similar on YouTube.

When it first came out the E type was a class apart and nothing came near it.
I had more modest ambitions when fourteenish and wanted a Triumph Spitfire.
When old enough and rich enough to be able to fulfil my dream I went for a more conventional Mini Blush.

I was out with my son recently visiting a well known Ferrari dealership ...where he was doing some consultancy work (on a black Testarossa) I looked at one of the cars for sale ...a little red 246 Dino asking price £ 450k !!!!
I can remember when they (Dino's) were struggling to make £4k !
With regard to the Capri (I once owned white 2 litre S) great little Cars ..I have a millionaire mate in Spain doing up a 3 litre Capri reckons he's going to spend £ 30k doing it up...Cool

There was an assistant pro golfer i used to knock about with who had a jet black Capri. We both fancied this barmaid at the club and one moring i went round to the shop and he says "Here, i wanna show ye summat" With that he takes me to the boot and there's his golf bag? SYeah seen it before says i. With that he gets the towel and says "Smell that" The dirty little scrote had only banged the barmaid and wiped her pússy with his towel..

Was Black with gold markings (I think) and named after a racing car or something.

2 litre petrol turbo which would probably see off any standard Capri.
