Well done indeed. I wrote to them some time ago asking if their tuna was farmed, as I give it to the cats as an occasional treat.

I am glad to report you can get lots and lots of halal chicken there instead.

Our cat won't be happy , she is a tuna junkie .
Won't go near other fish, chicken . She will have some cat biscuits  if her plate is left empty for long enough .

What's the difference between a piano and a fish?

You can tune a piano but you can’t tune a  fish.

Persistent organic pollutants, are lipophilic, they tend to accumulate in top predators, such as tuna & sharks, and all types of oily fish.

They will also accumulate in the livers of white fish.

John West is too costly - I go to Lidl for tuna.
the Europeans don't stand for cheap slurry tuna(tuna flakes?)
tuna steak is only 75p and quality - solid stuff. full can.
better than JWest.

we seem to approve of adulteration ? i think it was
war conditions and the influence of the American
food industry - kraft cheese etc.
findus crap and tinned meatballs.

Oh forgot she does supplement her diet with any mice she catches.
She was abandoned and lived in our garden for quite a while before we realised.
She was no doubt starving and when she caught a mouse instead of leaving them as most well fed domestic cats do she ate them .

Mind she is now very unhappy. Our garden is a cats paradise of hedges , trees and bird trees.
The garden opposite have 2 young female cats.
Their garden is a concrete void ,so the cats are always in our garden.
All they do is sit and stare at our cat and she is scared to death of them Laugh

I did know about tuna being bad for cats , but she loves it and won't eat any other meat .

mine was the same - when i got him he wouldn't
eat for three days - eventually i got tuna and
he scoffed it. liked raw mince and beef too.
Looked up ideal diet near the end as I wasn't
happy with the cat food (whiskas)
Turns out you should emulate natural cat prey.
bits of chicken? like birds.
true carnivores shouldn't feed them mixed meats with veg.

I once won a prize with my tin of tuna in an unusual pets competition.
