Has there ever been a study to establish a link between male pattern baldness and heart attacks?

Seems to me that many who suffer a heart attack early in life also suffer from baldness.

I have a theory that male pattern baldness is caused by high blood pressure which also contributes to heart disease and heart attacks. Hard to prove though as most if not all do not know that they have high blood pressure.

Yes there is a link, but only if the baldness starts on the crown. Read that somewhere a few years ago.

A bit worrying. I shave my dome every other day. Been having a few dizzy spells when standing from sitting positions, culminating in actually fainting last Sunday afternoon and smacking my smooth pate against the wall on the way down.

No problem Kenny. Its not your fault Laugh. Doctor was pretty much useless. She was literally screwing her face in frustration as I answered every box ticking question. Diet? Excellent. Eat healthily. Smoke? Never. Drink? Rarely. Exercise? Regularly. Weight? Spot on. She emitted an audible sigh of relief when I told her wasn't looking for a definitive answer.. Just some general guidance.

Sometime fainting just happens out of the blue.  Happened to my sister a few years back but no problems since.

I noticed that i was losing a few hairs in the shower a few months ago so started on propecia. It really is amazing stuff.Stops hair loss in almost all cases and regrows hair for some.No side effects either.

most people are bald because they are fat and have grown through the top of their head and hence your crown has split down the sides of ya head

its the fat that triggers the heart attack
