At 3pm UK time on Saturday, the BBC made reference to the killer as Ali Sonboly. Within one hour however, the BBC had changed its references to the now dead culprit to “David Sonboly”. At 6:31pm, the news bulletin on the BBC News Channel referred to him as “David Sonboly” though at 6:32pm their correspondent in Germany referred to him as “David Ali Sonboly”.

The BBC have total form on this name thing, I said this on the Nice thread I think like the day after the thing happened. All ther other media was naming the suspect, a certain Mo-ed, and the posh spoken BBC guy they had on said explicitly that he wouldn't name the suspect "in case they got the name wrong". As if vigilantes in France are watching BBC 1 for the names or something, and not their own media who had his name all over the place. I'm sure if it was an incident in london and his name was Steven Smith they'd have no trouble at all naming the suspect.

ok to be more specific, I'd appreciate if any sites that had "the truth" on this shooting could provide evidence of their truth. So, what investigations they've conducted, who they've spoken to etc etc. For example, any corroboration on the report of him shouting Admiral Akkbar, cos that's slightly at odds with him caught on video slagging off foreigners and shouting that he's German.

I tend to see that the opposite way round lfc1971...but I know I can never shake your belief in the good old US of A.?
I think countries should decide their own rulers, it is not the job of other countries and this includes the USA!

I agree with Yommoma and PP as well, we may well have set up ISIS or at least financed them?
But they were not meant to start murdering us, as usual our wonderful leaders do not really know what they are doing.

The United Nations, with no axe to grind, have continually informed us the atrocities of ISIS, we are reluctant to act.
