I have only just discovered this. Love Peter Gabriel with Red Rain being one of my favourite songs of his (Solsbury Hill topping the list) but never knew he had done this live version with Michael Stipe and Natalie Merchant - how have I missed it for 20 years? Was 1996.
RTB, we all love music, and have strong opinions about it, so I hope you can forgive the following..................
Red Rain, is a poorly crafted badly executed pile of dirge, the live version is a cacophony of shhhhyyyyte (vocally) I for one don't buy into his recurring pool of red wine dream cr@@P. The Daryl Easlea critique that it was an obsessional reflection of the fear of aids and nuclear fallout was as absurd as the 'TUNE'

Indeed, it was the tune of all right thinking people after the Brexit farce.
If we had another referendum tomorrow, Remain would win in a canter. Sadly that's not going to happen.

I really though that it could be changed as so many numpties hadn't realized what their vote would mean.

Yep, great live version of Red Rain. His album SO is 30 years old - unbelievable how the time goes by. Some truly classic tracks on there.including Don't Give Up with the legend that is Kate Bush.
Have to say I never really liked Sledgehammer.
Still have the vinyl copy, even though replaced by CD years ago.
