I opened a shop in my twenties and called it something catchy, I lived to regret it
![]() The business went fine but answering the phone with a silly name, and repeating it to others was not. It wasn't that bad, it was a tv repair and sell shop and I called it Mr Fixit ![]() |

I wondered why you were shocked, Capt F, and then I read my post again. I did not fix the televisions, a man did hence the name.

Oh God, crags is going to be along soon

Ann'll Fixit - the store for all your needs

|
By:
So, you didn't know anything about fixing TVs, but decided to open a TV repair shop and employed someone to fix the TVs.
Sounds quite plausible ![]() |
|
By:
I put my foot in it there, didn't I.
I couldn't call it Miss Fixit because I wasn't doing the fixing. I did everything else though. I got the shop, got the stock, paid the bills etc, dealt with the customers etc etc. At that time it was very rare for a business to be owned by a woman. It was only a small business though. |
|
By:
So you got the stock?
You never mentioned selling TVs, only fixing them... hence the name of said shop. What stock would you need? More shyte from you so... I'm out! |

Amazed to see there's not a Little Mix Fix It in the Mr Men catalogue.

Talking of shop names, there's a bike shop not too far from me in Dawlish called Braking Wind Cycles. I kid you not! Wouldn't like to be answering the phone there. Really pathetic name but the shop does quite well, so I've been told.

The Edinburgh lads will know better but was there not a famously named Chinese takeaway across from the Mary Rose (pub by the Old Town) somewhere back around 1985?

If you are serious about a business selling fruit and veg then you need to appeal to your target audience, not one you think is a good name.
Your potential customers want reminding of the rustic nature of eating well off the fat of the land, which is contrary to manufactured boxed sugar coated homogenised supermarket filth. The name should be something like 'Muck' Or 'Just Dug Up' (this one will work even better if you are old or ugly, what do you want, a smug name and no customers or one that sticks in people's minds even for the wrong reason and a pocket full of money?) I'll tell you where to send the cheque for my consultancy genius when you are setup. |

The posts were removed, presumably, because you swore at me crags. I complained about it on chit chat but not to the moderators. Will someone please help me about crags. I pride myself on not lying to anybody and to have to come on here all the time while he tells fellow chit chatters I am lying is very upsetting. I have to defend myself but it is stupid I cannot post without him twisting everything I say. |
|
By:
^^^ Utter nonsense.

No more from me. I've proved what a liar you are, and others will have seen it. That's good enough for me. Good luck with whatever it is you're trying to achieve on here.

crags just admit it you're in love with annie and because it's unrequited you have become bitter and obsessive. It's nothing to be ashamed of it's just human. Perhaps a hobby, or a dating site might be helpful??.
Thank me later, any further sessions will be charged at £50 per line. Yours in hope, boxingthefox. ![]() |
