It is a bit late now but for next time, practise giving answers to likely questions.
They will ask: why you want the job; if you've done it before; what you've been doing for the last few years. |

Don't fall into the trap I did. I was asked for the names of three referees and said, "Mark Clattenburg, Martin Atkinson and Mike Dean".

On a serious note, Ramruma is right.
There are books and resources on the net which will help. There are some standard questions but there are others which depend on the job in question. |

if they ask have you been to university, just say you have no desire to be a doctor.
|
|
By:
tell them there are all kinds of jobs you would like, and that makes it hard to choose one.
|
|
By:
and theirs was the first one that came along so you thought you would trie it out.

At my last interview they asked me the old chestnut: "What are your weaknesses?"
I replied: "Betting horses and chocolate digestives." "It says on your CV that you're an exporter. Tell me about that." "Yes, I worked at King's Cross Station for five years." |

Was it like a proper job interview and if so what did they ask?
I'd hope cleaner was the sort of job where if you turn up on on time and look like a 1/2 decent human being you get the job. |
|
By:
Don't make the mistake I did on the application form:
Name: IAW Nick Sex: Yes please |
|
By:
Not really Zazu.
I did quite a few interviews in my time including those for cleaners. Depends on the nature of the job but in my case cleaners were given a set of keys and worked when everybody went home or before they got in. So trust came into it as well. You're also looking at reliability, nothing worse coming into an uncleaned work station in the morning, so job history important. |
