Same thing will happen with Davis as what happened with Paxman.
Any politicians of note won't go on the show.

It was noticeable how Paxman had cooled it down in his final years presenting the show over that.

These rude presenters like Davis, have to realise that the listeners want to listen to the answers more than them simply reading questions from a script.

According to Piers Morgans article on Bojo in todays Mail.The BBC Newsnight Twitter account stated that the office  cheered like a goal had been scored when news of Boris' withdrawal broke. Not biased then?

He's simply just out of his depth. Half the time I'm convinced he hasn't a clue what he's talking about. Even the weakest of politicians run rings round him.

Every interview is the same, Davis with his rehearsed question, the interviewee bats it away, Davis realizes he's no idea how to counter the reply so dances round the edges and eventually gives up. Andrew Neil he is not.

I think we know fine and well what 'qualified' him to get the position

look at his hands - ring on index finger - very strange looking.

Davis is bad but the other stand in, the patronising younger guy with the beard, it totally unwatchable.

I watched last nights davis performance interviewing the Tory, and it was so bad.

There was a part that went like this:

Davis: You're going to be getting rid of your plan to have a surplus by 2020, why?
Tory: Because circumstances have changed.
Davis: How.

HOW. HOW? Is there a single person on the planet who doesn't know what happened in the last week that answers the HOW?

And then he went into some ridiculous line of pedantry about when plans might change or not, the tory guy should have punched him and walked off.

Reminds me of Zebedee without the moustache.
When I see him it's time for bed. Boing boing.

Spot on JC. He then went on like a dog with a bone about how George Osborne was feeling. Totally irrelevant in the grand scheme.Give the gig to Emily.

Honestly Davis was being such a tool, I was getting annoyed.
You make your plans as to how they are now, with some contingency, if things change you change them but not before.
You don't make your plans as to how things are unlikely to be, and ignore how things are now.

But Davis didn't seem to understand this and was working away at it like a kokwomble.
