They're still playing their Metropolitan elite games. The underclass (and irate others) have tasted blood. If whoever wins the poisoned chalice doesn't get a firm grip on immigration, they (we) will elect people who will. That will be 'exciting'. May was a Remainer, but, more importantly, she was an utterly useless Home Secretary in charge of the Border Agency/Force whatever ... More people got in legally/illegally, no more crims/illegals were deported than before. Boris might be doing the smart thing - if she fails - and she's the mistress of doing little quietly to no great effect - he can pick up the pieces. For a smart man, Gove makes some really stupid decisions.

Adam Werritty During October 2011 Fox's relationship with a close friend, Adam Werritty, attracted extensive media attention and eventually led to Fox's resignation. Werrity, some 17 years younger than Fox, had been best man at his wedding, had lived rent-free in Fox's flat, and been involved with him in business and in the conservative Atlanticist think-tank The Atlantic Bridge. While Fox was Defence Minister, Werrity had visited Fox at the Ministry of Defence on many occasions, had accompanied Fox on numerous official trips, attended some of his meetings with foreign dignitaries, and had used official-looking business cards which said he was an "advisor" to Fox,[87] all despite having no government post or security clearance.[88] The media raised questions about Fox's judgment in allowing this to happen, the nature of the men's relationship, and the source of Werrity's income.
In response, Fox initially requested Ursula Brennan, the Permanent Secretary at the Ministry of Defence, to investigate his connection with Werrity.[89][90][91][92] Some of the meetings involved himself, Adam Werritty, Matthew Gould (before he was Britain's Ambassador to Israel), and in some cases Denis MacShane himself. The Foreign Office responded by saying "The FCO has total confidence that Matthew Gould has acted appropriately at all times and at no stage was he acting independently, or out of line with government policy." .[93][94]
On Sunday 9 October 2011, in advance of Brennan's initial report of the result of her inquiry to the Prime Minister, Fox made a statement apologising publicly for his conduct in relation to Werrity, denying wrongdoing but admitting errors of judgment in mixing his professional and personal loyalties.[95] The inquiry was escalated and Fox resigned in advance of publication of the full report by the Cabinet Secretary.[26][96]
The full list of Fox's meetings[97] for his time in office to date, 20 May 2010 to 8 October 2011, was published by the MoD after 7 pm on 10 October 2011[98] and revealed that Werrity was present at 40 of Fox's 70 engagements in that period (57%).
In 2005–6, Fox used public money, from his expense claims as an MP, to pay Adam Werritty.[99]

Not having a television it is difficult to assess the worth of individual politicians. However, I look up wiki and I find I do like the cv of andrea leadsom. She has loads of city experience and has done a 'proper job' most of her life unlike most of her fellow mps.
Today being a hugely important day for the uk, I looked at the gove interview on youtube and found him odious. I think it is relevant that a friend of mine, a staunch labour supporter most of his life, said that he might vote conservative if they elected boris but would not if they elected gove as he thought he was a pr@t. Enough said

I just chose to not have one at the moment. Between playing poker, reading, surfing the net, ex boyfriends, I do not have a great deal of time left!
Capt F, I can afford a tv I just chose to not have one at the moment. Between playing poker, reading, surfing the net, ex boyfriends, I do not have a great deal of time left!
Don't be a fckwit sofia, most who voted out knew those who are here now will stay if they want to - there are always racial idiots in every country. It's the many millions who can't be stopped in the future that will tip the balance to bloodshed. Small, densely populated country with an outrageously generous benefits system.

Jeez kenny, I thought you were better than a rent-a-leftie mouthpiece. Look at the fking numbers. Net immigration is 330,000 pa, then consider natives leaving and illegals. Then look at birth rates for racial groups here. Don't spout more of your garbage at me - actually go and look and come back with numbers.

Agree about immigration. I left greater london a few years ago after living there most of my life. When it got to the stage that I was the only english person on the bus, tube and in shops I gave up and left.

The SNP lady was woeful on Andrew Niell's programme tonight, I've seldom seen such desperate waffling from somebody so clearly out of their depth. What with Alyn Smith's abysmal performance on Tuesday, it's not been a good week to be Scottish.

I knew that most of london would vote remain because there are hardly any white people living there now, only the rich and those on benefits who would vote remain because it is in their interests to do so.

I also couldn't help myself when I saw iceland at about 9/1 to win and about 5/1 to qualify although I felt guilty at betting so only had a few quid on to qualify and win. But knowing england as I do over many years of hurt it was a no brainer.

I have never really thought about that bodil, that us oldies are some of the only people to see england win the world cup live and there are millions of english who probably will never see it.

It has been a good week for me, anxious, though I only bet for small stakes nowadays as I don't have the time to justify big stakes.
I bet leave at 4/1 and purchased over a thousand pounds in dollars and euros before the referendum.
Can someone explain why leave was 4/1 when the polls had them neck and neck nearly. Apparently it was even higher on here. I assumed that the odds would be minimal as they were so close so did not bother to bet until the day before when I was in a bookies and was gobsmacked by the price.
