I hate this DRAGON of a woman. Was awful as home secretary putting through all kinds of intrusive and damn right silly legalisation.

Best thing to happen to Labour since...well I can't remember but it's good for them if they ever get a decent leader.

The Tories want a brexit leader so she's OUT, Gove shot himself for stabbing Boris in the back and Tory activists are saying he cant be trusted. Crabbs was remainer but also a lightweight. Fox not liked much by Tory party members. That leaves Leadsom in the clear.Wink

She makes me wretch everytime I see her.
I dont trust a word from her, the snoopers charter was just a closed agreement between politicians to throw everybody else's freedom to the wolves.
She was with the IN campaign and not apparently it doesnt matter??????

Imagine the tory women's pin up calendar?
I dare you ffs....ghastly hags the lot.

funny as it is we should remember these clowns end up doing ok no matter what, its us liitle people who get shafted time and again.

Ron i think you should try and become leader of the monster raving loony party, then try and get into parliament to become PM. you couldnt be any worse than the lunatics there at the moment and at least we know you would set a good example as you wouldnt go the A&E for something as minor as a big hole in your head Laugh

Can we all appreciate that 85% of politicians are inadequate loons from the loony bin, the worst percentage of our population with nothing substantial to offer, most of whom couldn't be trusted making a sandwich let alone making decisions that affect 50+million people. Therefore we are always going to be "led" by the wrong person.
Report dustybin • July 1, 2016 8:15 AM BST
They have to stop using the term democracy, it's a loaded term that implies the public are the collective masters and controllers of the direction of politics.
The voting public have such little connection with the direction of travel that implying the end result is of the peoples' making is boarder line slander.
Report CLYDEBANK29 • July 1, 2016 8:33 AM BST
The leadership battle is so laughable because all the good candidates were remainers.  That says it all.

May is ruled out because she was a remainer, and cannot be trusted because of that alone.
Even the most wodden of wooden heads knows that.

Farage has the diplomatic skills of a mafia boss, but who's only weapon is a water pistol.

May positioned herself on the fence, she's the perfect candidate to bring the party together and the only candidate with any gravitas.
Report dustybin • July 1, 2016 8:49 AM BST
Quite right.
The idea that who is PM being inconsequential enough for it to not warrant a general election is laughable, since if that were the case then why are the knives out for corbyn attesting to 'never being electable'?
It happened with Brown under labour too, the people treated with contempt.
What I believe is happening is the public have been given a show of sacrifice to placate them. One IN PM stepping down to be taken over by another is the result but the action enough to stem the critique of the concept of an IN MP negotiating the OUT.
It buys time and time in politics is the exposure something gets to manipulation.
It wouldn't at all surprise me if this was a cynical manovere to work to a point a middle ground can be assured and the result of the EU largely ignored.

i fail to see what concern it is of anyone who voted remain. We are leaving Europe and immigration will stop, that will include immigration from Scotland if they insist on independence.
Report lfc1971 • July 1, 2016 8:55 AM BST
As long as the Scottish people know when they vote that independence means no longer having the automatic right to live and work in England, that is not too much to ask.

"Don't really like May either...."

From the options she seems the least worse, Crabb is a strong contender but with very difficult times ahead, not sure he would be ready for the job yet. Andrea Leadsom my clear second choice to May.

Gove, a joke !!!! 4 times he has said he would not stand, once he even offered to sign it in his own blood he doesn't want to be PM. "I'm not equipped to be PM" "I don't have what it takes" "There are people far better than me to do it"

And now he's changed his mind and wants to run the country.......
