I would agree to a certain extent that we are lazier than other countries when it comes to learning languages, but English is carried to every corner of the world via movies and music so they do have something of a head start. 

French speaker signing in, however, so I'm doing my bit. 

Iceland's celebrations won't last long once they realise they've lost all their rights to fish in English waters.
