I thought the leaders of the EU were equal. Yet she is telling the EU to let the UK exit on their timetable.

Who is in charge there? I thought they had a rotating president of the EU?

the rota as it was pre referendum.....
Netherlands: January-June 2016
Slovakia: July-December 2016
Malta: January-June 2017
United Kingdom: July-December 2017
Estonia: January-June 2018
Bulgaria: July-December 2018
Austria: January-June 2019
Romania: July-December 2019
Finland: January-June 2020

This shows you it's a farce.

Paris and Berlin were engaged in talks yesterday. Last night the word was that they are in complete agreement about what to do regarding Brexit. Further it was  rumoured that Cameron had been told not to sign Article 50 until after the summit meeting. There has been no confirmation ,yet, this morning.

The one in charge of the purse strings calls the shots.

They can take on any title they like, but at the end of the day Merkel runs the EU show.

I can't get over the irony.....the lack of democracy in the EU combined with the recent rantings about the Leave vote from the sore losers about how undemocratic it was...and then...that ridiculous petition...lmfao

If anything bar it being laughed right out of Parliament, happens with this bloody stupid cry-babies charter of a Petition then you can hand this country back to the cockroaches, since my Britain will have been lost to the mewling and the over-entitled.

This really would lead to a right wing backlash - a proper one, not the pretend racist mirages seen by Remaindears over the weekend since they lost the vote last Friday - and they would only have themselves to blame.
