He should be told in no uncertain terms that the British government (as is their right) will begin the process when they are ready and not before.

Maybe that one works
Report Petraco June 25, 2016 3:14 PM BST
So given that Article 50 was drawn up by expensive legal types within the EU, are they now admitting that they actually didn't word it appropriately should anyone actually need to use it?

If they wanted to adopt a rule that forced any doubting member of the EU to get their exit strategy sorted prior to them having a referendum why didn't they word it like that?

No wonder the EU costs so much if this is the best that the bureaucrats can come up with...  Plain

.......what are we waiting for then....let's do this whilst those anti democracy clowns clog up London Bridge and announce it over a huge tannoy with Big Ben chiming to the news.

Lawyers always word legal government documents to be ambiguous and subject to interpretation.
That's how they ensure more work for themselves in the future.

They wouldn't get away with it so easily writing company documents.
They'd soon get the boot.

All of a sudden not many seem that keen to leave
Report Biscar Two from a mile back June 25, 2016 4:52 PM BST
It wasn't really a vote to leave it was more of a power to the people statement shirley ?
Report A_T June 25, 2016 4:54 PM BST
Indeed.

There should have been option on the ballot paper: "I don't actually want to leave but I want to be all noisy and cross about the EU"
Report charwell. June 25, 2016 5:01 PM BST
Amazing how the 'Remain' campaign seem to be falling over themselves to tell us we don't want to leave.

Aside from Scotland and London the message was crystal clear.

merkel is the gaffer, german industry bosses are her gaffer we will get a very very good deal if germany and france are in recession for next years elections merkel and hollande are toast,we have a flush they have 2 pair relax

Exactly, gooroo. Juncker can stamp his feet all he likes, it's our gaff now, our rules. Merkel's already told him to put a sock in it. Besides, the EU Commissioners will be off for summer recess soon, so it's all academic anyway.

Take our time and watch the opposition parties in the French and (particularly) German elections start promising favourable UK trade agreements to safeguard exports and jobs. With Volkswagen facing billions in fines over the emissions scandal, Wolfsburg is in no position to dictate terms to anybody, never mind the buyer of 20% of their exports.

sky tried a scam to get brexiteers to tweet in to their station to say if they regretted voting leave

for four hours the presenter tried her best

all she got was brexiteers tweeting how proud they were!!!
after 4 or 5 hours she admitted she hadn't found one

but like the bbc they shoot off to places like hackney and find a youngster to say tearfully how ashamed they are of this country haha

Laugh

Facebook is awash with these clowns showing the same clip of '1 person' stating they regret voting leave.

Only another 1 million people to find..................

Unreal mobo.

How different it would be being put across if we Remained.

I don't know whether to laugh or cry. The British Government getting threatened (hows it feel?) and the bureaucrats of The Hague telling them to get a move on when they themselves take 3 years to write a note..

Hang on, I underestimated this:

German carmakers raise fears over Brexit
2 Jul 2015 - About a fifth of all cars produced in Germany last year, or around 820,000 vehicles, were exported to the UK

We've got this lot over a barrel. Just sit nice and calm and let them come around to us.

Boris or whoever takes over should straight away itemise every last thing we import from them,a plan to self produce or procure elsewhere, then sit down confident with all the cards,if we had voted in they would have **** us big style always pointing out to our government that the people spoke, junker is dog that barks with no bite they will offer him up anyway put an italian or spanish in to make it look good. The germans play the long game, after they unified they were struggling the eu has made them but they need us,we dont need them nobody wants anything in german English is our biggest advantage,we hold the cards now wake up.it wasnt by design but the timing of the ref was perfect
Report A_T June 25, 2016 6:56 PM BST
So no hurry to leave? And all the time dangerous, sponging immigrants continue to pour into the country and UK taxpayers money gets thrown away on the EU.
