What a STUPID question by the opening poster?  When will it start?  A lot of stuff needs to be done before this can be implemented.  It will take a few years

Any extra money would just be wasted on agency staff on insane wages anyway

Seemed a reasonable question to me. Anyway I am delighted to hear that all the £350 million we give to the EU will instead go the NHS.

Kriskin -

OP seemed to pose a reasonable question to me. But it has been answered. It was untrue. So people just have to forget about it (its a different, and very serious, question how both sides could freely peddle gross misinformation).

Its clear UK Govt / Leave campaigners don't know what happens next - especially Farage!, and of course the UK immediately has made shapes at stalling - understandably to calm things down. Uk may be thinking we will leave when we are ready - but this is a very problematic.

I stated this on another thread, based on my own experience yesterday...

I work for a large US Financial Company/Bank. Mail straight away yesterday morning. Paragraph 1 - assuring all staff of commitment to UK. But then Paragraph 2 - as they are a EU legal entity (as most of big US firms in Europe are) - some roles will have to move, this will be detailed by end of July and timeframes in placePlain. Typical US company - bang! just like that, no messing about. Cash is king.

Not even waiting for the actual exit in 2-3-4 years time.

Business and markets will want certainty and clarity - the pressure will build from business and industry, as well as a "pissed-off" EU, as well as staunch Leave campaigners. Very difficult balancing act - never mind the internal pressures from Scotland, N.Ireland

The only thing I don't get (but could be wrong) - is it allowable that the other 27 countries are meeting and excluding UK? UK hasn't even applied to leave yet. Just wondering

So when will that start then?

............probably about the same time as the 'anti-austerity' budget the nation was threatened with materialises.

My diary says that budget is on the 12th of never.

Some confusion here, I think.

The Leave campaign aren't the government and Bo Jo and Farage aren't the Chancellor.

Sounds like a suggestion AT.

Plus Osbourne is the Chancellor, plus we are still in it. Innit?

I've heard people today moaning that the only reassurance the Leave team are offering is for us stay in the EU for another 2 years!

As soon as you mention Cameron and Osbourne are now steering the Leave ship their eyes glaze over!Laugh

Isn't it good of that nice Mr Juncker to offer to let us have the money straight away (provided we p1ss off out of it of course!). I can't understand why the Brexiteers aren't biting his arm off.

I'll get back to my Irish passport application form....

Instead of ignoring the open door policy, they pointed fingers and screamed 'racist'

NOW, only now they are interested in the single market free movement of 'workers' situation that may be.
WHY did the Remain side NOT point this out to the Leave voters BEFORE the referendum?

No, they opted for the 'immigration is good for everyone because immigrants are net contributors and our NHS would lose them (not true) and if you don't believe us we will convince our supporters that you are racist!'

Juncker had better hurry up and kick us out soon so we can all spend this money - and have £350 million a week on the NHS.

Of course, it must be true because the Brexiteers said it....
