when you see programmes like Sweeney,Minder,old London films ,Steptoe and son etc you can see how horrible and filthy London was ,no wonder half the indiginous population was wiped out by the plague .

you,ve got to love they talk about it as though its a illage where they no everywhere and everyone,you can commute to york quicker than you can get from oneside of london to the other,why do people think they need the choice of 20,000 barista,s,then 90% of them go to costa,90% of londoners use the same shops as those people in leeds ,brum,newcastle,m,chester,the slightly different parts are overun by tourists

They're is a huge difference in quality of life in London.
You can go from run down estate to nice quiet areas in just a few hundred yards. The one overriding factor deciding quality of life is money. If you ain't got money or no chance of earning it you'll experience a different London. |

I think Tooting bec lido was voted the best Lido in London about 5 years ago, think there's only about 15 of them though
