This is the moment police took the name of a pro-Brexit supporter who offered voters the use of her pen in case of fraud.

Some Vote Leave campaigners have claimed that using the pencil usually found in polling stations is dangerous because their cross could be rubbed out and changed, even claiming MI5 are involved.

Jacqueline Jackson, who was outside a Winchester polling station, filmed the officer taking her details as she argued she was allowed to lend her pen to anyone entering.

the looney that is david cameron is so out of touch surrounded by his bessie mates, that a refferendum that was called to shoot the ukip fox, looks like having the outcome in the coming years of at least doubling the ukip vote and splitting the tory party forever, baldrick smells a cunning plan, but for the life of me i cant see it
corbyn and his corbynista,s do alright though labour will become a fringe protest party in the uk,which suits corbyn as he never wanted power, what poor old chukka, yvette and co are going to do gawd only no,s possibly join the tory party there,ll be plenty of room, what a fcuking shambles

Right wing groups are growing in strength across Europe. Some of them are a bit naughty.

Ironically the Remainers want to see UKIP etc killed off but if we stay the opposite will happen.

Farage and UKIP refused to join one group because it was too right wing. The lefties have just voted for these people to make their laws. You really could not make it up.

To all the youngish people out there who voted remain and vilified the brexiters in the process  - enjoy your zero hour contracts, scrapping for minimum wage jobs throughout your life, sky high rents, houses that you will never be able to afford, security threats that come with living in a crap area, and working until drop.

You got what you wanted and deserve, and will get very little sympathy from the millions of little englanders that you so despise. By little englander I mean anyone who isn't a frothing left wing zealot

As a little englander who took early retirement to travel, and paid my mortgage off in my early 40's, live out in the sticks, it's all rosy in the garden. Good luck! Grin

BTW Cameron and his capitalist mates running the big businesses have played a blinder hoodwinking the suckers into voting remain. Disposable cannon fodder is now assured for the future.

But the young affected by high rents or getting not paid enough due to wage competition, they aren't just being obviously affected by supply and demand like any normal person would think, this is because there isn't a socialist government to impose rent control and high pay via the ministry of control's 5 year plan! The Corbynites said so! ... muppets :)

buying a house today isn't that much dearer than in the distant past ,say 1989 .

More the problem is banks are not lending ,besides youngsters would sooner spend their money elsewhere Devil.

Youngsters also fussy ,they won't live anywhere and aren't prepapred to rough it for a few years  or get stuck in with house maintainence .

One thing missing from the left in the whole debate imo was the moral aspect of us being the 5th largest economy in the world yet letting poorer countries educate and train so many people before we take them. Is that morally correct? Is the foreign aid/EU contributions guilt money?

Ye see? This is the type of thing i was talking about on another fred, namely that the cuckoos of 'leave' had plenty of opportunity to rip 'remain' into tiny pieces. The fact that they didn't has bothered me from day 1. There has never been a concerted effort from them, otherwise it would have been a walkover..

guinness the youth vote was never going to be claimed, they've had it so easy and know no different. They may think different in another 41 years time. The momentum was lost last Thursday, had that not happened I think it would be a different story.

It's all conjecture anyway, Ron as i think this was sorted a while ago. But i maintain that 'leave' did not try hard enough. Ye all have to make up yer own mind as to why..

Yes we will deserve what we get

Our society has becime corrupt and decadent, it started with Thatcher.

Our electoral system is failing, it is working on bribery(we give far too much power to women, their vote needs to weighted to ensure
a male majority of votes).

It is why Muslims may win one day...they see our weakness.

We can't stop them coming here from Europe can we nowCrazy

"buying a house today isn't that much dearer than in the distant past ,say 1989."
Oh come on that's not true, historically, as a fraction of average earnings, it's much much more than it used to be?

The fact this cox escapade seems to have turned the vote and how our media and slimey politicians orchestrated and used it to turn things around is one of the most memorable and depressing things about all this.

What a cr*p shallow country, we probably do deserve what's coming.

Just checking -  yesteryear  the banks took your money in INTEREST ,these days  you are paying  LESS .

A house in 1989 that cost  60,000 would cost 150,000 in todays currency .

That house today would be 260,000  . At say 10% interest (did hit 15% in 1989 btw) compared with say 5% today on a fixed rate .

Therefore todays house would be cheaper to buy in terms of interest only .

Coachbuster over a lifetime IF interest rates stay low, perhaps, but you get mortgages on income multipliers, and you're not taking into account inflation either. 10% was a very high figure as well, isn't it historically far more like 5% average I believe.
By:
Coachbuster
When: 23 Jun 16 21:36
obviously lower house prices with lower interest would be of greater benefit .

1996 would have been the single best year to buy a house in the UK , 1989  the worst .

1970s would have been horrendous
By:
