"Not sure I've seen anything like this before."
A memorial event at the weekend when far more could attend would have been after the vote, it seems like they are desperate to keep the story bubbling pre referendum. Why have it in London, not where she's from or where she represented - not enough media there when they are busy? Let's be clear: it's awful that a young woman and mother is dead: it's not her fault how others might be using it, and they most certainly are using it. |

Just watched Channel 4 news too. Had to turn it off. Why is there another day of remembrance, the day before the vote? I can guess why. This is just blatant one sided propaganda. The irony of it all, playing the same cynical and divisive card they themselves are supposed to be encouraging us to move away from.
As for the husband. Something not quite right. Detached. I'm trying to be polite here as the man's just lost his wife in such terrible circumstances. There's another story here. |

#lovelkejo, truly nauseating stage managed event.Poor lass.

I read one post on twitter saying that the publicity for this event was being managed by Alastair Campbell and Matthew Freud. Not absolutely sure myself but if that is true it just becomes more understandable and nauseating than ever.

i suppose the clincher will be if remain win,the killer gets released,
![]() joking aside the most sickening thing ever must have been the family of dr kelly watching alastair campbell apportion blame for joe cox,s death, breathtaking in its hypocrisy |

One hudnred per cent agreement with you there ftp, I really do hope Farage gets his way on this as he is probably the only character who has the guts to ensure Blair and Campbell appear at The Hauge international court for war crimes.I am sure he would enjoy payback for the smears and slurs upon him.

From the BBC:
Speakers at the Trafalgar Square event include Malala Yousafzai, who will highlight some of the causes Jo supported. Former cast members from the hit musical Les Miserables are expected to sing at the event. A charity album of live music by bands including Coldplay and Muse will be recorded at the Glastonbury Festival this weekend and will be released in her honour. I'm speechless.....her death was described as 'an act of terror' and the logo 'More in Common' that Jo herself used was clearly visible. It's blatant propaganda. I think it's wonderful to see so much money raised but her death is being used (by her husband) to further the Remain vote. It's repugnant. Should also be stated that the acts of terror carried out by 25 Muslim men on white girls in her neighbourhood is receiving no coverage at all. |

C4 News is up its own a*** the last couple of years, it's just so biased and self-loving.
I can't believe I used to like it, I now despise it. |

There’s something about Jo Cox that reminds me of Madeleine McCann. Then again, there's something about Brendan Cox that reminds me of her parents.

Very interesting article. Near the end it says that 100 men were arrested on sex charges in Halifax but only 13 convicted. The link to White Helmets is extraordinary. |

Until reading the above link I was unaware of the Batley child abuse. Considering Sky News runs almost on a loop in my house, ignorance of such a case is incredible. How often has it been reported in the last week?
|
|
By:
Local BBC News I believe. Nothing on the main channels that I'm aware of.

Thirteen men sentenced to a total of 150 years for child abuse and nothing on the main channels! Can that possibly be true?

PD - there have sadly been many similar gangs operating across the UK. The press have often sought to play down these horrific crimes.
They are nearly always comitted by men of Pakistani background against white girls. Yet the police, press and government are quick to refute any suggestion of racism or that it's linked to Islam. Re the Go Fund link for Jo Cox, I see Hope not Hate is also listed. HNH are a left wing opponent of UKIP and therefore support the Remain campaign. This whole episode stinks. |
|
By:
Injera - yes Hope Not Hate are one of the 3 recipients of the money raised, people are donating and it will be used to pay their members fines from violent protests
PokerDane - the abuse story was the headline on the morning edition of Batley News the day the mp was murdered. By the afternoon it had naturally been replaced with her murder, however the story had totally VANISHED, it was not even showing up in their list of archived stories. Strange? |

Thank you for the link and thoughts, Injera, PD & BB.
