I haven't watched enough of any Glastonbury to comment on whether or not this has been one of the worst, but although ELO were excellent they didn't seem to get the crowd going like other Sunday afternoon slot performers have done. That was a bit disappointing.

Every year that i care to remember - too many of them alas - the phrase worst ever glastonbury has been thrown out on multiple occasions. This is the first year its definitely been true, without a shadow of a doubt

I dont understand the criticism of Coldplay on here. They are pleasant and innocuous.  As for this being the worst Glasto ever, I agree with the poster who says that someone posts this every year.  For me this has been a particularly good one, Sigur Ros, James, Foals and Of Monsters and Men.  That'll do for me, chaps.

Just watching Guy Garvey on iPlayer. Apart from being very good, him being a consumate frotman and another example of the sheer warmth of some performers being the stand out the guy should have his own prime time saturday night show. He'd definitely be one of my dinner party guests.

It will be very embarrasing for some at the next glasto  ha ha!!!

The first lorryloads of mud have already begun arriving at Glastonbury as the site begins preparations for next year’s festival.

Glastonbury is the UK’s largest consumer of liquid mud, and it takes almost a year to ensure enough is on site and ready for everyone to have a really miserable time.

Upon arrival at the site, it is spread evenly over several square miles and kept liberally soaked so the festival ground is already eight inches deep in slurry by the time the first excited attendees arrive.

Organiser Michael Eavis told us that maintaining the Glastonbury ambience of earth-caked sodden despair was an essential part of the experience, and he’ll keep making people as bedraggled and miserable for as long as he is able.

“Getting Adele this year was a stroke of genius,” he told us.

“Howling storms, two feet of mud and an anguished dirge about her ex. God, it was wonderful.”

The UK is not capable of producing enough of its own mud to satisfy demand and imports considerable volumes from Eastern Europe, leading to some campaigners demanding the country become self-sufficient in gloop.

UK leader Nigel Farage has insisted that festival-goers should be able to bathe in ‘honest, hearty, British mud’, while Jeremy Corbyn has called upon the government to nationalise the mud industry in order to protect supply.

Didn't see a lot of Glastonbury this year due to work - but was lucky enough to switch on one night just as they were showcasing St. Paul & The Broken Bones' brilliant performance of  'All I Ever Wonder':

So, I'm happy, as I very much doubt any act at Glastonbury this year could have topped such a superb performance and song.

Tommy, St. Paul & The Broken Bones are an amazing band - they sound as though they've been around for decades but Half The City is their only album so far.

Paul Janeway has a hell of a voice and stage presence but his visual resemblance to Alan Carr is very off-putting!

Hehehe!

Must admit, when I first saw him I thought "What the hell is Alan Carr doing on this, is it a spoof?!"

So glad I kept on watching though - as his and the band's performance was a real treat for the ears.
