yes without a doubt the momentum was firmly with leave, the remains had played all their big cards

Very sad, since I wonder how sane that man was, he may just as well have shouted Up the HammersCrazy

I do not think he was with the rest of us....my opinion

Today's society, where social media appears to reign supreme, immediate  outpourings of grief overwhelm everything.
An overreaction was inevitable. But so fickle are people, that come Thursday emotions may not be as raw.
As always where a vote is required, there will those that already had a view ,won't change and will vote accordingly.
There will be those that are not sure, remain to be convinced one way or another , and come Thursday it will be whatever tipped the balance for them.
Then you have a significant % who could have voted but can't because they didn't register, and those that can vote, but won't..
I personally hope the vote goes the Remain way, but it wouldn't be the biggest shock if it was Leave. I think the whole Referendum issue has been badly run, communication has been poor, and scaremongering has been rife on both sides.

Whatever the outcome, I believe the Tory government has been holed beneath the waterline. And certainly Cameron and Osborne won't be around for long imo.
Report Gin June 20, 2016 9:57 AM BST
The price was actually about 1.70 on Thursday.

The other factor is Nigel Farage's shiny new poster which will have put off the soft leave voters. Both the poster and the murderer point to links that repel many voters.
Report DIE LINKE June 20, 2016 10:10 AM BST
Farage is incorrigible, he just can't help himself. Preaching to the converted with 10% undecideds up for grabs shows political naivety. You can see precisely why he has failed to be elected as an MP on seven (!) different occasions.
Report Facts June 20, 2016 10:14 AM BST
Agreed. Then on the Remain side they know the polls are showing its the elderly who are most likely to vote Leave, so they issue a statement that says Pensions will reduce if we leave the EU.
When that didn't appear to have an effect ( or was seen to be too polarised), Osborne wheels out his Emergency Budget (that would make everyone financially worse off), which would have to be implemented immediacy if the Leave vote won.
This was the biggest lie so far. It's been shown ( in the EU constitution), that it will take about 2 years to fully depart from The EU, such are the rules and regulations in place. So any need for an 'emergency budget' is pure bullshlt.
Such has been the scattering of wild sweeping statements, it's hardly surprising that those undecided are now so cynical and disbelieving.
Report Foinavon June 20, 2016 10:33 AM BST
Was feeling somewhat undecided but having listened the Stephen Kinnock and baroness Warsi this morning my mind is made up, I'm voting to leave.

im afraid so,last week for the first time I started to believe it could actually happen but now I feel its totally on the side of remain, someone mentioned the new world order ,and you know what? anything is possible in its dirty world we live in,who"s to say she wasn't bumped off?whos to say the guy who killed her(with no history of political leaning)isn't the patsy?i don't know but its defo all over now
Report jumper June 20, 2016 10:36 AM BST
Warsi - blatant opportunism now she sees Remain gaining the momentum. Blown up in her face a bit as she doesn't appear to be ever seen as a Leaver anyway.
Report Burton-Brewers June 20, 2016 10:46 AM BST
Daniel Hannan asked Warsi 2 months ago if she'd join the Leave campaign and she refused, you can expect more of her type in the next 3 days.
Report DIE LINKE June 20, 2016 10:54 AM BST
All credit to Remain, OUT had been targeting minorities and were gaining some support in their message. But this has neutralised it, although most of the work was some by the one-trick-pony's poster.

Great opportunity for us to vote against the Establishment.

When the Kinnocks join with Cameron, Blair, Brown, Major, Corbyn and even the Archbishop of Canterbury then in my view it's pretty clear which way we she should vote.

As for Jo Cox, on a Remain campaigning stand in Eastbourne on Sunday, there was a book of condolescenes. I think that was outrageous.
Report DIE LINKE June 20, 2016 11:36 AM BST
when the tin-foil hat brigade appears, its time to leave.
Report anxious June 20, 2016 11:40 AM BST
like I said the other day the LEAVE campaign should reflect on what happens when most of the tory supporting press, big business, the establishment turns on you and uses character assassination on its opponents, this is what the Labour party has to face every election.

These are real Labour people, they understood exactly what the EU was about.
They fought on behalf of the working class.

The current Labour Party are dont give a damn about the working class, indeed they now despise them.

It amazes me that so many people on the left are campaigning so vigorously for remain.

In the last few days, I have seen people like Billy Bragg and Geldof who for years have been supposedly railing against the elite establishment now telling us to listen to the likes of Cameron/Osbourne/Obama/ Goldman Sachs/ the IMF etc and vote to remain in a block of countries run by an overly beureucratic bunch of elites (half of whom are un-elected) whose stated aim is “ever closer union” (ie to basically become a United States of Europe).
Report Injera June 20, 2016 12:17 PM BST
Yes Gin and that's the great sadness about our so called democracy. We have no opposition party of note.

Many who voted for UKIP last time long for a Labour Party that gives a damn about the British. Dare I say white British or is that not allowed??

I just wish the Left could see this truth. Ukippers etc are not the enemy of Labour. Many are the product of New Labour.

I agree Injera

and with this earlier
As for Jo Cox, on a Remain campaigning stand in Eastbourne on Sunday, there was a book of condolescenes. I think that was outrageous.

I suggest the leave campaign do the same, it was a terrible tragedy.

I believe the man who did it was not sane and alienated from society, he could have done it for any cause. He just chose 'leave',
could have been any number of causes.
Report Injera June 20, 2016 12:55 PM BST
Any evidence of that though ebul?

Cameron has used the tragedy to further his campaign.

His tweet the other day:

'Jo Cox's strong voice in the campaign to remain in the EU will be sorely missed. Her final article published today: facebook/strongerincamp'

I think that is absolutely disgusting.
