Completely flabbergasted an Aligator can swim up to a tourist at a Disney Resort. Recipe for a n astronomical lawsuit

body found intact......looks like dragged it in the water and the baby drowned.......
Report ZenMaster • June 15, 2016 9:49 PM BST
Perhaps

But 'intact' could still mean in the gut of an alligator. They have been trapping, killing and examining local alligators.
Report ZenMaster • June 15, 2016 9:52 PM BST
Nope you are right bdj.

Body found in Lagoon.
Report guinness2dear • June 15, 2016 10:37 PM BST
So if the gator never ate the boy, why drown him?
Report guinness2dear • June 15, 2016 10:38 PM BST
And before any wannabee smart arse says oot, i know that's how they kill their 'prey'
Report ZenMaster • June 15, 2016 10:56 PM BST
guinness

My guess is that this wasn't a fully grown gator, or else the boy would have been swallowed whole.

If the gators can't swallow their prey shoe, they stash their killed prey and wait for the rot to set in. Then revisit the prey and bite chunks off it.

Really? Never knew that tbh..
Report ZenMaster • June 15, 2016 11:04 PM BST
Yeah, the gator probably stuffed the boy under a log or something similar to go back to.
Report guinness2dear • June 15, 2016 11:05 PM BST
That would explain how they found him so quickly then.

Do crocs do the same?
Report xmoneyx • June 15, 2016 11:05 PM BST
how unlucky is this

burglary suspect in Brevard County is believed to have been killed  by pet croc in November as he hid from police, according to the commission and the Brevard County Sheriff's Office
Report ZenMaster • June 15, 2016 11:12 PM BST
Crocs will try and eat it whole if not, they will rag it about viciously until the prey breaks up and then scoff it.

They only hide prey if they have had an abundance of recent food.
Report Roger The Butler • June 15, 2016 11:25 PM BST
Heartbreaking stuff. Can't apportion any blame at all to the parents Ron, that's not ok.

It was a man made lake with beaches on it, almost entirely enclosed, no warning signs of alligators, and the boy was just paddling in a foot of water.

As a parent reading this it makes you feel sick to the bottom of your stomach - this could have happened to anyone.

Police searching for a young boy seized by an alligator at Walt Disney World in Florida have recovered a body.
Divers found a body "intact" that they believe to be the two-year-old, who was dragged into the water on Tuesday evening in front of his family.

Orange County Sheriff Jerry Demings said the missing boy's name was Lane Graves from Nebraska.
Since the attack, five alligators were seized and killed in an attempt to find the boy's remains.

Poor little lad...dreadful way to go

A terrible tragedy, poor kid, and parents.
Report akabula • June 15, 2016 11:57 PM BST
My first thoughts were how stupid were the parents but having heard the facts questions must be asked of Disney World.
Absolute tragedy.

Can go over a year without eating, and it's mating season perhaps played it's in an adolescent male gator attacking.

Poor lad.

Cause of death drowning.

The fact that a member of the public could access an area like this, warning signs or not, will leave Disney with an expensive lawsuit and I hope that the management of the place are prosecuted. It's a disgrace.
Report xmoneyx • June 16, 2016 9:12 AM BST
Disney hotel on lagoon itself
