And they didn't have to get their chests out for a reality show, did they? Because they were great sportsmen and that was more than plenty in them days. Kids in Newcastle and Luton had real heroes then.
To be fair, the likes of Ali could get 2 or 3 millions in them days for a fight at a time when soccer athletes were taking the bus as they would be on 200 quid weekly if they was lucky and then that's going some. Ali could have bought loads of myriad properties like Larry Holmes but I guess he had different priorities.
