In June 2003, Lance Corporal Tom Keys was among six military policemen killed by a mob in the Shia city of Majar al-Kabir in southern Iraq.

Angered by his belief and the growing public feeling that the war with Iraq was based on a lie, Tom's father Reg forms pressure group Military Families Against the War and decides to stand against prime minister Tony Blair in his home constituency of Sedgefield in the 2005 general election.

Fact-based drama, starring Tim Roth and Anna Maxwell Martin

Excellent programme, very well acted and produced.
Blair must never be able to forget the human repercussions of his lies.

As twinkly says, don't expect any shocks in the Chilcott report, but one day, just like Saville, the truth will out.

I don't believe 1 man makes a decision to go to war. This was a joint decision made by maybe 10 key people. If things get too hot they will sacrifice Tony Blair so they can avoid any blame.

Blair's public rep has gone right down the toilet since he left office.

Never that high anyway - yes, he won elections but to what effect? Managing the economy well enough at a time of worldwide boom - he reached pretty much rock-bottom with the risible 'Middle East Peace Envoy' role. Throw in the impression he comes on a grasping so and so who would flog his left nut if there was a few quid in it for him and with Chilcot looming and this programme, I don't think there will be a glut of movers and shakers rushing to defend him.
