Is she the actress that played Eponine in Les Miserables.
If so, she was utterly brilliant in that role both on stage and in the film.

She played her in the film. Not a huge theatre goer but it's easily my fave musical. So many great songs and a great story
Was going to say the film had me searching for the Kleenex, but then I thought some might get the wrong idea.
She's a small island girl :
Barks was born and brought up in Laxey,[5] on the Isle of Man, to Ann, a teacher, and Richard Barks, a building surveyor.[6]
She attended Laxey Primary School in Laxey and St Ninian's High School, Douglas[7] before moving to London to study A levels at The Arts Educational Schools (ArtsEd) in Chiswick.
Barks began dancing at the age of 3, training in Ballet, Modern and Tap with Dancers Barre, then Stagecoach Isle of Man, Theatrix, Stage One and the Manx Ballet Company.[8]
