The party I once was a member of not only campaigned with the Tories over independence, but happily shared a stage and leafleted with the Grand Orange Lodge on the same issue. The Labour party is dead, and signed its own death warrant.

I love how dim Socialists are :) Did this annoy the popular people's front or something?

Well you can see where this guy, and unfortunately many of the moronic Glaswegian SNP voters are coming from: it's about good old fashioned anti-British bigotry. Nobody outside that messed up bubble talks about "orange lodge"s.

By all means hate a party because of their policies, but Johhn clearly has prejudice issues far beyond the healing powers of an internet forum. But I'm sure he fits right in at SNP meetings!

looks like the Scottish people are independent - just use the tax powers. don't let the conservatives scare them with their doom and gloom.

every other affluent nation in Europe has a high tax rate to pay for its services.

Let the SNP hang themselves, it's only a matter of time.

Power is the biggest killer of all, it's telling that whoever get power then normally expect to take a hiding mid term.
The tories continued to be 'pleasantly surprised' how they wernt given the hiding they expected after winning the general election.....which is synonymous with the fact politics is just a merry go round of 5hit.
People just go through all the options until they arrive back where they started, since everyone f u cks it up in their own particular way.

You seem clueless.  He is simply stating facts. If Labour had allowed their MPs to campaign freely in the referendum, they would still be the second party in Scotland, but because they needed Scottish MPs to have any chance of a UK parliamentary majority, they stood shoulder to shoulder with political opponents and effectively said that if they Scots voted for independence they would sabotage it.

Also the Orange Lodge and the Catholic equivalent should fack off back to Belfast and take their sectarian bile and marches with them.

Must win daftest post of the night but the frightening thing is that it is a thought that has quite a few in agreement with.
PS isn't the SNP standing shoulder to shoulder with the Tories wrong as well or is it okay because they aint sharing the same platforms.
