They just started to explore Antarctica in the 19th century - it's just been roughly mapped and now it's in danger.

recap - they found it and now it is spoiled.

If they didn't go anywhere it would be okay.

It fits in with the BBC agenda to proclaim doom and gloom from climate change.Last time I read about it the antartic was INCREASING its ice coverage ? Is this Roger Harrabin again the braindead zealot ?

I think the only danger would be if Antarctica melted, it would cause a significant rise in sea levels.

The citizens of some coastal countries, i.e. Bangladesh would have to learn to live under the sea.

I don't know if it is melting or not?

There has been a rise in the Co2 levels in our atmosphere but we don't know if this is natural or has been caused by man.

I think we should gradually wean ourselves off fossil fuels. They will run out some time anyway.

I like the idea of renewable energy, wind farms and solar myself. I think we should build more wind farms.

Nuclear is ok, but the stuff it produces is sheer poison.
