It's been shugging all the cats in the neighbourhood, and spraying all over the place. A good deed done. Lovely cat though.
Cost me £50 nearly, E'. I confessed to the vet afterwards. She was not happy, but who cares. Too many unwanted cats, rescue centres nearly bursting at the seems, or full up.

However, if I did have a cat and you neutered it against my will I would not be happy. I just feel sorry for cats that are neutered, their lives change for the worst.
I have often thought I might get a female cat and let it roam free and let it have kittens. But I suppose I haven't because I am too responsible, sometimes.

Sometimes it seems that cat rescue centres are a bit of a con.
One of my ex boyfriends has cancer and he had a problem with his cats whilst he was very ill. I tried all the cat charities but none would help. I live a long way from him in a flat with a no pets rule but I would have taken them if necessary.
There is a cat charity that sets up a stall in the centre of town, but it is run by some shady looking characters.

The ex with the cats told me and I have read about it a lot. Their personalities change, especially the males.
None of the cat charities would help, because they were full up, AS IRRESPOSIBLE OWNERS DON'T NEUTER OR SPAY THEIR CATS, AND THEY CAN REPRODUCE ALARMINGLY!
Nearly all the rescue centres in the UK are full, simply because people either have the same opinion as you, or just don't care about their cat. Makes my blood boil as my mum used to say.

When I phoned the cat charities it was usually just a volunteer that answered, a one man band. But Cats Protection received over £62 MILLION POUNDS a year, in a charity largely run by over 8000 volunteers. What are they doing with the money?

Kenny, I hope you don't think I am having a go at you. I think it was nice of you, in a way, to get the cat done. And I love the way you are kind to animals. I just think some of these charities are run for themselves not animals.

I've raised the same question with CP, but you only get to speak to unpaid volunteers.
The point is, there ARE thousands of stray cats. Maybe not where you live but in a lot of inner city areas.
And the reason there are thousands of unwanted, neglected strays, is because of people with the same attitude as you, with respect.

I know it is silly, but it does seem cruel to stop cats doing what we do. Nobody goes around neutering us

We have a castrated male who still sprays, especially when an male comes in the catflap and eats our cats food.I can tell when it comes in, all our cats look up and stare when they hear the flap go.

I think Kenny's taken a step in the direction of maverick, which is always a good place to be headed. Overall, I'm counting it as a good deed.
What if the cat owners were wishing to breed from the male, you have irresponsibly and illegally kidnapped and had neutered unlawfully at a vets. Also the vet is now complicit in this act. He could very well be struck off.

Facts,they're breeding from it alright. They just don't know. It's not some high minded decision they've made not to neuter it they just don't fkin care. In fact when I told the owner a while ago that their cat would be making some poor stray pregnant, he said that's what cats do.

This cat in it's lifetime could father 100 or more kittens. Some of these kittens would be wild and could father 100s more.
Cat sanctuary's are full so some would be put down.
