The sun was out ten minutes ago , here in the foothills of the Pennines. Now a huge hail storm , looks like bits of polystyrene. Sky gone very dark and the wind is howling .
Sky went black about an hour and a half ago. Had to put the lights on. Then the thunder came - and a massive hailstorm.
Remainder of the hail still sparkling on the grass in the evening sun of (now) blue-skyed Stoke.

Feels like we are approaching another Ice Age,wonder how the EU are going to explain this after their allegiance to Global Warming ? Can it be blamed on Brexit ?

You Southern Jessies. Up here in Caithness it's been a balmy two degrees today with the snow flurries coming sideways. I wasn't sure whether to go for a factor four or eight.

the reason theyve had to start calling it climate change instead of global warming is because there were too many people out there who associate warming with blue skies, barbeques and sun tans.
when you increase the global mean temperature by fractions of a degree, it means that billions of litres more water is evaporating over the oceans, forming more clouds, higher variances in air temperature, more rain, more storms etc. tropical climates around the world are hot as **** and get 10 times as much rain as us and hurricane force storms.

Snow in the mountains this morning, an angry sky interspersed with enough blue sky to knit a sailors handkerchief ( as my old nan used to say) so looking like a scorcher here.

More snow on the ground this morning than all winter. It was snowing very heavily at 6-30 am. Yet 5 miles away there is very little. We have a microclimate being right next to the moors.

We're being clouded out - just got to hope that May offers some decent clear skies because July and August will be a guaranteed cloudfest
Lack of sun = seriously bad mental and physical health
